Help RockPlayer only accesses SD Card, not 8GB Phone Memory.

Most apps in the market are not setup to read the internal memory. To use another program besides stock, you'd need to move it to your SD card.

The only people who can fix this are the developers. Write them an e-mail.

Do you mean, move the app to run off the SD card? (How's that possible?)

Or move the files?

Is there any way at all to make RockPlayer the default avi player? Maybe there's an app that can set defaults...

You have to move the files. Even if Rockplayer could be set as default, the way it is programmed it doesn't feel it has permission to access anything besides the SD card. Email the developer and ask them to fix this. It'll never get fixed if they're not made aware of the issue.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm trying to look for their contact information. Kind of tough -- Rockplayer's Google Group is in Japanese...

Could it be possible to make a symbolic link inside the SD card pointing to the internal memory?
Ha, I was just wondering the same thing, then scrolled down and saw your post! :D It would be an interesting thing to try.

EDIT: Actually, doesn't Android use FAT32 for the SD card? FAT32 doesn't support sym links. And I don't know what the internal memory is formatted as, but I wouldn't be surprised it it were also FAT32.
