US Dell Streak Upgrade Worth It?

This is a question for the US buyers of the Streak and those who looked and though about it....

I currently have a Nexus One running 2.2.
While I like the Streaks size and other options, the loss of 2.2 is too much in my opinion.
Then there is the Dell said "2.2 by year end" - I'll be 3.0 by that time.

and the downgrade to 1.6 results in:
- noflash
- no exchange (work won't use 2.1)
- no portrait mode on home screen
- some of my apps are 2.1 or higher
- load to SD card....
- hot spot

Am I being too off base with this?
Leave some comments and let me know what the new US users think...

I think you're answered your own question/made up your mind. If you already have a device running 2.2 and you can't go back then really you only have two options. Stick with your N1 and 2.2 and wait for Dell to release 2.2 for the Streak to make your decision or get it with 1.6 and wait for the update.

After thinking about it and found someone with a Streak (got to play a bit) I decided I would be sacrificing too much functionality to go with Streak at this time.
Not launching with at least 2.1 was a big mistake in my opinion.

I'll stick with my Nexus One on 2.2 and wait.
If the Streak gets 2.2 I'll take another look.

Unless something else catches my eye first......

I have updated the AT&T version. There was some frustration, as the tutorial didn't work approximately as indicated -- I had to use two completely separate bootloaders for the two different ROMs. Other than some vague instructions in places, I did it and in about a couple of hours. Totally worth it, although O2 1.6 --> O2 2.1 does wipe your data. Also flash isn't on it? Anyways update if you have ants in the pants.
