Root radio problem question!

so i am to nervous to try the unrevoked forever thing right now.. i was running a 2.2 rom but gps and other stuff would not work cause still on 1.0 radio.. so i followed those instructions for the 2.05 radio back to stock download the dint ota thing and rename it update.zip... and when i try to install it on the install update zip selection it always fails.. can someone help me out at all? thank you very much

What is the error messages you are getting when failure occurs?

I believe you have to downgrade your hboot to downgrade your radio without forever. pretty sure it's a sticky in the all about rom forum.

He is trying to upgrade radio, not downgrade.

OP, I have heard of issues when your SD card is incorrectly formatted. Maybe check to see if it is FAT32.

Be careful to read up before pushing any change to the card formatting.

Sorry, my bad. when he said back to stock i thought he meant the radio.

ok i will give that a try.. im taking everything off my sd card right now so i dont lose anything and see if this works..

so you are trying to unroot so you can flash the leaked 2.2 for the 2.05 radio correct?
i have not done this so I can't comment on the steps. most common problems seem to be corrupt downloads and format problems with sd card.

all i can say is unrevoked forever is easy and painless and you can skip this whole thing and just flash the 2.15 radio. good luck either way though

i already unrooted and back at stock i had 2.2 rom installed and a hydra kernel was running awesome just need the radio so i can use everything ...

the only thing that worries me about the forever thing is what if something happens to my phone and my warranty is voided...

Depends on how your PC views file extentions. You may have to name it Update because it'll automatically add the .zip. Bunch of people have slipped up on that.

thank you ... yeah i couldnt believe it i just could have lied and just said i figured it out but since it was a crazy mess up i had to share lol
