A lot of people have been asking for a method to remove themes. Well, this file will work with any theme. It removes all themed apps (restores the stock versions), as well as removes any custom fonts and themed frameworks.

This should also help those who have removed stocks apps restore all of their stock apps in the case they want to do the OTA update to Froyo.

Requirements

-Rooted
-Have Droid X Recovery App

Instructions

-Download the following file: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
-Place it on the root of your sd card
-Launch Droid X Bootstrapper, bootstrap recovery, reboot recovery
-Navigate to 'install zip from sdcard'
-'Choose zip from sdcard'
-Find 'Fabolous_theme_killer.zip' and select it
-Press 'Yes'
-Reboot

You'll have to remove bloatware again, if you did so.

To Remove just custom fonts and return to stock fonts

Hey Fab will this take us back to stock font, if so can you make a zip that is just the stock font?

I'd like to be able to return to the stock font also, I'm finding the Revolution font and little too thin/jagged for smaller text. Thanks.

Sure, I'll make a .zip for that when I get off work tonight :)

First I'm a newbie. Second, I never rooted the phone or messed with any of the apps. I did however install a 3rd party launcher which has themes. I should be fine when upgrading to 2.2 right? Never had a desire to mess with the core operating system until 2.2 was released. And with only a few hours away with a possible release I want to be prepared.

You're fine. The themes for the launchers wouldn't apply here.
