Will GPS be an issue with this phone?

Do you think this phone slipped by verizons testing with its' GPS problem?

According to another user that has been testing this phone for VZW, there are no GPS issues and it has been fixed. We will have to wait for release to see for ourselves.

yes. my buddy has a captivate, so i had a chance to compare the two. and, i experienced no GPS issues. i think this is possibly why verizon took so long to announce a release date. i mean, they also didnt wanna infringe on the x and d2 release dates too much (esp since we are going to see a few more android device in the coming months), but i do know they have been working on it, and they asked for feedback on the GPS from all of us who had them.

GPS functionality would be a huge deal breaker for me, so I hope all is well!

I don't think you need to worry. Like EliC said, sund0wn said the phone is working fine for him. He compared it to his friend's Captivate. Not to mention, the fix will be coming a week or two after the phone comes out.

I'm not to worried I don't think samsung would drop the ball like that and plus the fix if there is an issue is due out soon anyway
