Ok, followed all steps, and unrevoked keeps failing or doesnt load onto the incredible, keeps getting stuck at waiting to reboot or says failed. Any help?

No htc sync, in the device manager it says for android phone: Android Composite ADB.

It just keeps failing and never loads the clockwork mod, ever! I spent 2 hours last night trying to figure it out and got no where. HELP!

need more info, what type of computer are you trying to use, are you trying to root a phone with 2.2 or 2.1?? the 2.2 unrEVOked is only in beta and is not available on their website. If you are trying to root a 2.1 phone, like the others said, it is very important you make sure your sd card is formatted to FAT32, they are NOT that way by default and you would of had to manually do it.

I was using windows 7 64bit, i am using the unrevoked that is out, not the one removed. card is formatted to fat32. Its bothering me cuz it will not flash, root, or anything.

Switched to different comp, with vista, still having same problems. Yes i have hboot, I have done everything right. It just will fail everytime. Any Help???

and its in 2.2 froyo forgot to mention

Well that actually explains the problem :)

Either get the test version of the new unrevoked or wait until it's officially released.

You can't use the older one on 2.2. You will need to either get the new one (that's in testing) or downgrade to 2.1 and THEN use the old unrevoked.

but the instructions that stated on how to root said i need unrevoked and thats it for the steps. So the unrevoked thats out now doesnt work for 2.2????

Nope, the one that is out now is the old one from 2.1. And I assume the instructions that you read are old (keep in mind that 2.2 was just released on the DINC 2 weeks ago).

The latest one, which is in testing, is the only one that works with 2.2.

You need to get their test version, and you get it from them. Unfortunately their site is down at the moment so you can't get it. But it should be released within a day or two anyway.

Pretty sure there is no need to install drivers if you are on a mac. Think you need to read the instructions again. All the info you need is there. And those instructions are only for a phone that has 2.1 if you are running 2.2(froyo) they will not work.
If you are running android 2.1 and unrevoked3 on a mac you just download the program and plug in your phone then run the program, then run the unrevoked forever program.

Thanks, i am running 2.2 so i guess i gotta wait for the rEVOked update then?

the beta version to root 2.2 is around, I think you have to get it from their IRC channel which is posted on the forums somewhere, the only reason it is still in beta is because some people who have EVO's were having issues but I haven't seen any issues with the incredible.

edit: here's the link to the thread that will take you to their IRC channel:
