speakerphone problem

Whenever I use the speakerphone, it eventually turns the screen off. Fine. But there are times when I want to take it back off speakerphone, so I need to see my screen. But, if I press the power button to turn the screen back on it hangs up the call.

What do I do?

this is rare for me, but I have moved it close and then back from my face to trigger the sensor.

Wait, this shouldn't be the default action for the power button during a call, should it? I can hit the power button repeatedly and it just turns off/on the screen while maintain the call.

I just did a test; called my work number from my Droid. Put both on speaker and let it sit for a minute. Droid screen turned off, hit the power button and screen comes back on; no end call.

Ah, thanks Phantom. I just did some checking of my settings and in the "accessibility" options, it has an option to have the power button hang up calls, and that was checked. Unchecked now, so all should be fine.
