On one of my screens I have various apps in 4 different folders so I can access them quicker. Yesterday for no reason, I noticed that I had 2 of every app in each folder I had on my screen! This happened on its own! Then this morning, I noticed that all of my folders are now completely EMPTY with no apps in them! What in the world is going on with my phone?!

I still have the apps on my phone but something is causing them to double up in my folders and/or delete them from the folders!

What launcher (Home) are you using? Stock? LauncherPro? ADW?

How much available system memory do you have left?

Are you running the stock Froyo ROM or are you rooted?

Maybe we can figure something out....

(smarter people than me please chime in as we proceed here...)

Launcher = Stock
System Memory = 32.18MB Available Space (this is probably the issue) What should the internal memory be at to be okay? What kinds of things do I need to delete to get that memory back? I already removed some apps like Google Earth that was 22MB just that app alone.
Froyo = Stock

Someone had mention to clear the Cache's but most of mine are already grayed out. So in this case should I clear the data instead? I haven't done that yet because I wasn't sure what all it would clear out.

Thanks for any help you all have!

Chuck, I do think your system memory probably is the culprit.

Have you gone through all of your Apps and tried to move them to your SD card?
(settings>> applications >> the press on each application and see if it can be moved to SD card...move those that can)

You can obtain an App called "SDmove" which makes this process easier by having it all in one place.

Aside from that, I would try switching to LauncherPro. I use the free version and it was a vast improvement over stock (you can try it out and then easily switch back and forth or remove it). The little "dock" that it provides is wonderful all by itself.

So, I would suggest moving as many Apps as you can. I have a zillion Apps and I have 124 mb of system memory free, just to give you an idea.
