movie downloads

I been to a1own and iphonemoviez but it eill not let me download or stream movies. I also installed linda but no help there either. Where do y'all get your movies and will rooting help. Epic 4g

Ive been trying to get an answer to this too. No one wants to answer. Iphonemoviez works on my friends EVO's, Incredibles and Droid 1's with Froyo. I was very excited when I updated to 2.2 this morning. Then I went to the site to try to stream a movie and it still gave me the same error "this file can not be streamed to this device." I dont understand. All the other androids play the files on this site. What am I doing wrong?

Its not "No one wants to answer", its "we don't know".

I tried the site iphonemoviez.net and played a few seconds of some film. (The video quality is horrible, what is this i don't even) But it played properly on my Nexus One with 2.2 and Flash installed. This is a long shot, but did you&op install Flash from the Marketplace?

I originally posted it and then saw this thread and decided to reply. I'm just really looking forward to watching movies on my Droid X. All my friends and coworkers with Androids are enjoying this perk and I'm a little jealous. Yes, I did update my flash player from the market after I updated to 2.2. I was told to do so cause of the new updated that fixed the security flaw. I even reset my phone. Still does not want to play. Of all the phones for it to not work on, it has to be mine =(

I'm sorry. I hadn't meant to reply to all of your post specifically. Then I continued writing as a reply to OP. I went back and edited it. On a side note, I believe the OP has an EPIC, what phone are you using?

Also if you browse to Youtube's main site on your phone, not the mobile page or the youtube app, can you play videos in the browser window just like you would see sitting at a computer?

2nd edit-I'm going to keep blasting this because I just had a few ideas.

1) Are you and the OP in the U.S.? The site may be region locked, but if your friends can watch the videos, this is just confirmation.

2) Try using the Dolphin web browser. I believe their is a setting to make your browsing report as a iPhone/desktop. Try these settings and see if you can watch the videos.

Otherwise it may be a deeper problem.

I have a Droid X and I am in the U.S. My friends have Evo's, the Incredible and Droid 1 and all can stream the movies from this site. I downloaded Dolphin HD from the market and set the pages to render like an iPhone and it still didnt work. The weird thing about this site is that when you click to watch the movie, it goes to play the movie on the device's media player. It does not play the movie on the actual website. I have absolutely no problem going to any site and playing a flash movie. It has to be something with the phone's media player that will not let the movies stream on it. I have tried downloading other media players but the option to play the movies on those is never given to me. Mind you, this is just for streaming that Im having a problem. I can download the movies to the device and play them but I would rather stream them. Like I had stated, it is just frustrating because people with very similar phones play them just fine on their native player. It seems to only be this model phone.
