Where's Gingerbread?

RUMOR
Androidandme.com is stating Gingerbread is coming out on verizon called 'Droid T2' using nvidia tegra2 chip in November-December. They are saying Gingerbread is more of a froyo update like 2.5. Honeycomb will b the next big revision. Dont get me wrong though, there will be plenty of UI enhancements in gingerbread

What are you talking about? Do you have any way of proving the statement you made? Because Google has not even confirmed that Gingerbread is out of Research and Development. And you are stating that it is on a device at launch?

Any links that you can provide that would validate the above statement would be great. If not, i will write this off as a rumor mill......

Had to edit this....i cant let this go.

Okay, also.....please provide some type of validation on the "Droid T2"

And Gingerbread 3.0 is not an update (such as 2.1, 2.1-update 1, 2.2) It is a complete new build.

I do remember reading an article the gingerbread would not actually be 3.0, it would be a 2.something (I think 2.5) and homeycomb would actually be 3.0.... maybe it was on phonedog? cant remember exactly which tech site... dont know if there is any truth to it either, but I do remember it being in an article

Ive seen that on a few rumor sites, but nothing at all from Google.

Every bit of that article is "speculation." The blogger that wrote the article is naming the device Droid T2 (not moto, not verizon, not google). It is speculated to have the specs that were listed in the article. None of this has been announced or IMO even a worthty rumor.

And yes, Motorola/Google have a deal with Verizon. The Droid lineup. Hence all the Droid devices from only Verizon.

But as far as posting a statement stating that ginerbread is coming and it will be on a device called the "droid t2" is simply just posting nothing more than a copy/paste from a rumor article. (which the writer of that article states himself it is purely information that he is putting together, none of it in fact may be relavitve).

Amazing how what even the original source states is conjecture based on various bits of information and rumors is subsequently so readily presented as fact.

Exactly. Hopefully all the readers of this thread will see that this was nothing more than a rumor that the guy posted.

OP....sorry for the rumor mill posts that you are suffering through.

I googled! LOL. Googled...makes me laugh as a college student. My teachers say it's not an actual verb and I argue I'm preforming the act of googling therefore it is an action...but I digress. Is this the article you were looking for about Honeycomb and Gingerbread?

Android 3.0 is Honeycomb, Gingerbread 2.3?

And I believe the tech site they mention is Noah from PhoneDog.com. Which has Jon and SYDNEY!!! HAHAHA!! Love them. They are so awesome!
