If you are using settings/privacy/Backup my Data (in 2.2) please let me know what it backs up, and to where? Does it backup everything on the phone including data for 3rd party apps? Have you tested a restore?

Do you leave this feature enabled all of the time?

Thanks.

It backs up all of your apps.
I had a D1 with 2.2, got the D2, and all my apps started downloading automatically after I logged in with my Gmail account.

Ok thanks. Automatically reinstalling the apps is helpful, but that is the easy part. I could always just download the apps if needed. Can you confirm that it also backs up and restores all of the app data that you have entered which is really what I am interested in.

For example, if you have a memo app, and have entered pages of memo's, is the memo app AND all of the memo's restored? Ive tried a couple of backup apps but so far havent found one that backups/restores all data that I have saved on my phone, and the data is what I really need to back up.

Thanks
