Hello,
First of all, I am not a newbie and am fairly familiar with this device. What i cant figure out though is why my battery life fluctuates so much sometimes.

And i should preface this with the fact that my daily activities do not change. What I do on my phone each day does not change. I do alot of emailing, texts and moderate phone usage. I use the same apps pretty regularly, sometimes browse the web, sometimes play Angry Birds.

Why at the end of the day is my battery sometimes still at 50%, and other days my battery is at 50% by lunch time??? Please don't state the obvious - NOTHING changes from day to day. I don't use certain apps some days that use more battery. I am a very predictable, boring person.;) Nothing changes - but my battery life does!!

Please help..

Batteries are finicky things I guess. I notice this too. Sometimes my battery will be at 70% chinese 3000mah battery from ebay and other times it will be at 50% by 2 pm or something. I turned off data when using wifi. I've studied previous threads regarding this battery thing and agree its a phone that uses a lot of power that the 1500mah stock could handle if turning off certain features when not in use and then turning them back on when needed.

And why the battery says 100% when on the charger and once taken off loses 5% within seconds it seems. I've seen suggestions of looking for a 3g/4g signal and maybe a cdma signal where the weaker will use more battery and the stronger the signal will use less.

Its just one of those things and I decided not to obsess over it. ON my old samsung rant, I've charged the battery and some days the battery would drain completely and other days it would last 3 days....mind you I didn't have a data plan on that phone and only used it for phone calls and some texting but not alot. It has a nice mp3 player though.

I don't know why either, but am happy to find out I am not the only one.

There have been two things that have come to mind. My daily use is consistent as well. But I have noticed occasionally that while the Cell Standby % may be similar every day, there are times that it shows "time without signal" as more than zero so I can only assume it used more battery that day searching for signal even though I sit at the same desk for 8 hours every day. Second thing I've wonders about that might make my battery fluctuate is when I have to reboot occasionally or shut the power off, I *think* my battery lasts longer in the hours and days after that.

In summary I have no clutter why it happens but it does o_O
