Google Talk Won't Start

Hello!

I've been having problems with Google Talk on my Desire for 2 days now - I can't start it up. Whenever I click the icon, it shows a black screen for about 1/10 of a second, then goes right back to the home screen. I tried force stopping the app, clearing the cache and the data and restarting my phone and checked to see if there was something wrong with my data connection, but nothing worked.

Is anybody having the same issue and how to fix it?
Thanks!

ok, so here's an update: today, i noticed one of my apps wouldn't update (the 'starting download' issue) so i said i'd uninstall it and install it again. the thing is, when i removed the app, my phone wasn't on low space any more with about 16 MB left. in less than 10 seconds my phone did a full sync of the apps and that's when i realized i hadn't been getting twitter notification for a while. so i checked GTalk and it's not having any problem now and updates work fine.

i don't know if it has anything to do with this low space thing or if it's just a big coincidence, but if you're having the download issue, you can try going to Settings -> Manage Applications and force quit and delete cache for Market and Download Manager, then retry the updates. this seems to work for me. good luck!
