Help Music cuts out randomly and more

We have two DX's in the house. One does this all the time. Freezes the phone and only a battery pull will fix it. Try clearing the cache in the music app. Temporary fix but does work for some. This problem needs fixed definitely.
How do you clear the cache in the music app?

I too have intermittent issues with the music player freezing up on me. A reboot/battery pull does the trick but I wish I didnt have to do that.

Cache wipe has fixed most of my 2.2 woes.

1. Turn off phone
2. power on phone and hold top button, and home key
3. when the Android guy pops up with the "!" press he search key
4. use volume keys to select wipe cache (or some wording similar to that
5. camera key selects
6. let it do it's thing and reset

I found that doing cache wipes sometimes would have to be done multiple times. Once I was having MP3 issues so i did a wipe, then the battery manager would FC. Did another one and everything was peachy.

This has been happening to me too recently. When I updated to 2.2, I did a factory reset and also reformatted my SD card and re-loaded all my pics/videos/sound files on it so everything was fresh and new. I use the stock music player with Pure Music. I have a lot of MP3's (about 2,000) and they worked flawlessly on the old 2.1. I'm thinking it might be a compatibility issue between 2.2 and Pure Music, for me at least. Maybe an update to the app is needed. It works some of the time, but locks the whole phone up other times and is only fixed with a battery pull.

Cool. I'll keep this in mind.
