I've never joined a forum before. But because I love my Droid so much I simply had to know all the cool features it can do because there is so much.

I'm a prior Blackberry Storm user. I always thought it could have been done much better and the Storm II didn't seem to fix any of the actual problems it just made it look a bit better.

Than the Droid came and was everything I wanted! There is still more than I think it can do and I'm here to research how to get it done.

Thanks for letting me part of your family.

Well as I've been thinking about my droid and what I want it to be able to do, I thought I'd make a list of things I'm going to try and accomplish by searching the threads, things I expect of my droid (if its a robot it should be able to do a lot!)

1) Bluetooth keyboard
I have a beautiful apple wireless keyboard and it will pair but I already knew that the droid wouldn't have the drivers needed, so I've started to search the market and threads for how to accomplish task.

2) Tasks
I have found my answer for this but it was on my list. Google calender has an awesome task lists (needs some improvement but cool that its with my google stuff) and gtasks from the market syncs with it AND has a widget ... terrible display though, yellow? could have been done better.

3) tethering
I refuse to pay for tethering when it comes out next year on Verizon. It is rediculous that they charge so much for nothing. Bluetooth, wired, or wifi will do for. Still trying to sort out the threads for the best way (and cheapest, I don't mind paying if I know it will work)

4) Homescreen - landscape mode
It bugs me that the home screen will only rotate when you open the keyboard. Unfortunately I don't like the keyboard because it isn't centered and i have to overextend my right thumb. i guess with practice I'd like it but the onscreen keyboard works just fine. So when I hold with two hands I expect it to switch and I know it can (unlike the iphone/touch which only supports portrait mode on home screen). So why won't it!

5)different sounds for different contacts
I found a round about way to do it through SMS Popup but that is weird and not what that app is intended for.

6)Bluetooth carstereo
My bluetooth works fine with the stereo but two looming problems. Half the time it doesn't connect automatically or it says its connected but it will still play through the phone speaker.

Also when I turn my car off and the bt stereo connection is lost the phone starts playing the music, it should just stop! That is a problem because who want to open up wants to open their music app just to stop the music as they are trying to go inside and grabbing all the other stuff from your car and then your phone just start blasting and everyone in the parking lot is staring at you!

7)Texting
I love the conversation look of the sms texting but there are some things I hate. When I go over 160 characters and it sends two texts I get an annoying text back saying that the other persons phone doesn't except mms or something, ok I got it the first time!

Also I wish there was a way to save the threads to my email or something, so I can access them on my computer.

8)Mute
I wish on the screen where you unlock the phone when you do the "sound off" that was all the sound! so I could easily shut up my phone. All it does is notification and phone calls. I want to quickly when something is going on around shut all shut off if I'm playing music, a game, alarms, messaging ... sometimes you just need your phone to shut up ... quickly!

Well that is a long list of problems but I guarantee my list for the storm was ten times longer and my good list for droid would keep me here all day.

Now I'm off to hunt!
