does anyone else have this issue where the deleted emails do get deleted but I get a notification within a minute that says 'new emails' and it will tell me that I have x new emails (x=number of emails I just deleted)....but those emails are not actually there, just the notification comes up.

I just clear it and all is good but i'm curious if anyone else has this issue.

oem client. i dont want to use k9 or any other aftermarket app. They dont really give the user anything extra to warranty having another app installed....just my .02

You might want to look into K-9 more before casually dismissing it so. Obviously you don't know much about the app at all if you think it doesn't "give the user anything extra".

K-9 is actively developed and maintained, coming out with updates regularly (unlike the stock app). It's based on the stock client but enhanced significantly, fixing numerous problems with POP, IMAP, Exchange, and other connectivity and usability issues, while at the same time offering a massive amount of new features and customization options.

If you're so against "having another app installed", then I wonder why you got an Android phone. One of the points of Android is the ability to install the apps you want so that the phone suits your tastes. Obviously the limited stock app falls short of that for you. Do you only use the apps and accessories that came built-into your Windows/Mac PC?

you're right.

I have tried K9 and although it was nice but I didnt really get any more out of it than the stock app. So why install an aftermarket app if the one the phone comes with does the same thing.

If K9 fixes this issue, then there's a reason to download K9 and that app will one-up the stock app :)

thanks for the input!
