Help Friend Stream Problem

I am having a problem with the Friend Stream widget. It seems that one of my FB friends does not appear on Friend Stream. I do not see any of her updates. I can only see her FB updates when I use the FB app. I cannot see her in my list of FB friends in Friend Stream either.

It seems to not be updating properly on the people widget either. Tried to resync. I even tried deleting my FB account in Friend Stream and adding it back in. This only happened with this one friend. I use to be able to see her updates, but she seemed to have disappeared from Friend Stream a couple of days ago.

I know she did nto delete me as a friend because if I use the Facebook widget, I can see her updates. She shows up as a friend in my friends list.

I did notice that if I use the People app/widget, she does not appear as a friend. I did happen to get some error about her profile not being visible because of possible privacy settings. I sent her a message on FB to see if she did anything of the sort recently.

I had a few weird issues with the people widget as of late. I added a traffic radio station Twitter feed to my favourites. I ended up having to add it as a contact and then link it with the Twitter account. It worked then at some point, when I tap on the contact updates, it did not go directly to the Twitter feeds. Then some time later, this same action went directly to the Twitter feeds.

I like the Friend Stream widget for viewing, but it does not allow me to enter any FB updates longer than 140 or so characters. This appears to be a limitation of Twitter. It's annoying that I then have to open the FB app. I'd use the FB widget, but it sucks. The widget shows FB updates for people I filter out.

I am thinking of deleting her from my contacts and then adding her back in and then resyncing. I'm hoping I don't have to go this far. I'm open to any other suggestions.

I tried deleting the HTC Facebook account and adding it back in. I deleted the contact from People and added it back in. It still does not pick up that one contact. I asked the contact if she changed her profile and she did not.

From what I can tell, Facebook for HTC Sense is not picking up this one contact when it syncs the contacts. When I go into the Friend Stream app and check the contacts, all contacts are there except for this one person.

Everything works except for this one contact and it is getting to be very annoying. In the People widget, it shows her latest Facebook update because it appears to sync with Facebook. I compared it to other contacts. All other contacts seem to sync with both Facebook and FB for HTC. The one contact in question syncs only with Facebook.

Hmmm. Very interesting. Friend Stream is picking up the contact again. It just happened right now. Maybe, it's because she just returned permanently here to her home town after being away for years. Maybe Friend Stream didn't consider her to be truely a friend until she came back. All's good again. Still wish I could type more than 140 characters. Have to use the FB app for longer posts.

Anyone else seen this before?

Right now, I cannot seem to add a contact to a group so I can see him on the Contacts widget. When I choose to add a contact to a group, this one person does not show on the list for me to add. However, I do see him in my People app and I do get his updates on Friend Stream although, it is a little late in syncing on widget.

My bad. Had to add the contact to the phone and then link to the FB contact.
