Justin C: Hello, I have a question about my LG Ally.

Justin C: I can't install many apps because I run out of disk space.
Justin C: Why is this? I have a 4GB memory card.
Chris: I would be happy to help you with that.
Chris: Unfortunately with Android 2.1 you are not able to save the applications on the micro SD card.
Justin C: Okay
Chris: With Android 2.2 you will be able to do it.
Chris: We are under review for the Android 2.2 update. At this time we do not have a definite answer or an Estimated Time of Release.
Justin C: Do you think it will be out before the end of the year?
Chris: Yes, I think so.

So, this guy thinks 2.2 will be out before the end of the year. I really hope he is correct. What do you guys think?

If that's what you're waing on you can already do that. Use Raptor or Velocity with apps2sd support built in.

I spoke to Jermel (LG Product Specialist) in chat support yesterday. He indicated the same thing. I was told now that Verizon has an LG with 2.2, an update for the Ally should be coming "soon".
