Navigation Low Volume solved

The only issue I have found is that the "system volume" goes to max e.g key strokes are kind of loud and must be manually lowered via settings>sound display> system volume. A minor nuisance and a non issue if on vibrate or if system volume is set to off.

edit: I have now discovered that if Nav is activated, the system volume goes back to max een if previously off- still a minor nuisance that I will gladly trade for being able to hear the Navi which is quite good.

Give it a whirl and let us know. I just downloaded it and it does not give any adjustability to the NAV, it does give system volume adjustments. I can't say if it works or not for Nav volume since my settings have been modified. Before making any changes, Nav volume set on "Max" was barely audible. What Audio Manager does is allows access to change multiple volumes like alarm, system, etc. in one widget but not any new volume settings you can't get to via the menu.

Now that I have looked, I wonder if you adjust "system volume" under settings in the home screen will that alone make the nav louder? There is a connection to the loudness of the keystrokes and nav volume which I only know since I did the mods and notice my keys are louder which can be lowered by changing system volume but does not lower nav volume. Hmmm?

Edit: Playing with this the mods listed cause "system volume" to go to max. I set it to zero and as soon as Nav gave directions system volume went to max and thus the Vav voice was nice and loud. I am only guessing that if you use this app (or do it via settings) you will need to adjust system volume but the factory limits on system volume will only allow a Nav voice to be so loud which is barely audible. Only way to know for sure is for one of us to go back to stock and test or have someone like you download the app and see if it makes a difference. IIRC, others tried to adjust system volume only and even on max, it did not help. I'll try to find a report to link.

Works great....I have the system volume all the way up anyway....and only use the hepatic feedback for my keys.

Should I disable the secret menu after making these sound adjustments? These sound adjustments also seemed to "up" the volume when I am watching a movie that I have on the micro sd card.

Don't know about the disable. Other volume responds to the volume button on the phone. I notice my haptic buttons are loud after Navi kicks in ant turns up the system volume. I have an audio manager app that lists all volumes and I can easily adjust system volume and other volumes quickly if needed.

Did you disable the secret menu after you made the adjustments? And did you mean that the audible touch tones were loud? Because the hepatic feedback on the keys is the vibrating....does the vibrating get louder? I have my phone set to silent keys that only vibrate.

No, I did not disable, I just left the new settings in place. I keep mine on vibrate too and the loudness is only when it is in audible mode. I occasionally do that by mistake when going to sleep mode and my index finger hits the poorly placed volume rocker and turns the ringer on. The Volume rocker is not actually poorly placed, it is the power button which should be on top and the charger port should be on the bottom.

I agree with the poor placement of the power key....I've accidentally hit the volume too. But in the big picture it is livable. Thank you with the volume trick...it seems to work great....and it helps with the movie volume too,
