Help HTC People / Contacts - am I missing something?

Hi All

New here having just bought an HTC Desire for my wife after persuading her to join the 21st century and buy a decent smartphone.

I imported her contacts in from her old Nokia using the Sprite Migrate app, which all worked fine. If she clicks on the Phone icon on the main screen she gets her contact list above the keyboard (mixed in with the recent call log) as it should, but that's the only way she can view her contacts. If I go into HTC People, the only contact listed under the "All" tab (which Im assuming should show every contact) is a contact named "Me" which is blank with no contact details in it. If I go into Groups I can click add contact to group and see the contacts and add them to a group if I wanted, plus if I create a new contact in "All" it does put it into the contacts list visible from the Phone icon, so why can't I see all the contacts I've already imported into the phone in HTC People?

I've tried clearing the cache of HTC People but that hasnt helped, any other ideas?

I knew as soon as I posted a question like this I'd work it out myself!

I found the answer by logging onto GMail, and in her contacts section the only contact visible was the test contact I created, but then there was another tab called "Other Contacts" which had her entire contact list in. I moved all those from the "other contacts" folder into the "My Contacts" folder and hey presto they all now appear in HTC People. It would seem it doesn't show all Google Contacts, only contacts in the "My Contacts" folder.

Cheers
