X10 mini Pro or HTC WILDFIRE

Hi Guys,
Before i start please be as impartial as you can be.

My Girlfriend has the X10 mini Pro but have been having no end of problems which i kept asuring her would be fixed by upgrading to 2.1.

2.1. has come and gone and the problems are still there with even more now added.
My question is which is the best hand set? My thoughts are the wildfire as i have the desire with NONE of the problems my GF is facing.
Christmas is coming and i am willing to buy her this phone if it will be worth it.

In your opinions which handset is better? I know the x10 has a slightly better processor but is there anything else that stands out as being better? Would you change given the choice?

From my point of View playing with my GF phone and fixing all the problems i Am NEVER getting a SE phone. It's just not worth it but this is for my GF as i said and i want to make the correct choice,

Not sure you'd get impartial advice here buddy ... but for what it's worth I'm thinking of getting an HTC Desire to compare against the mini-pro and decide which one I prefer. I'm undecided on whether I need a real keyboard.

I'd get the wildfire and flog her mini-pro on ebay if she can live with a virtual keyboard.

Thats why i posted the same question over on the wildfire part
then I could compare.

Dont think about getting the desire, do it. You wont be disapointed. Its in a different league to the X10. Virtual keyboard is really good too so you wouldnt miss the real thing

(+) Wildfire has multitouch.
(-) but same QVGA as the X10 Mini/Pro therefore screen res isn't as good on a bigger screened Wildfire

dunno bout root tho as i only have a Mini Pro...
(z4root don't work for Wildfire)
and i've enabled JiT and app2sd on it so apps open waaay faster than the stock and i've got 1.4gigs of memory to spare for apps and games...

if i can have that on the Wildfire, then i'm switching.

in my humble opinion: go for the x10 mini pro
i don't understand how the world lives without a physical keyboard
the x10 mini pro has many faults i could point out - but for me it's the ONLY android phone i'd have because:

- it's small!!!
- it's android!!!!
- it has android 2.1 now!
- instant email
- google navigation - on SUCH a small phone! full sat nav!! (make sure u don't have to pay extra for traffic charges though)

search the internet for problems on both phones
one of the other phones i would have considered getting for myself was the samsung galaxy (or was it the motorola one? i forget) - i read that the gps on it *really* sucks and is pathetic and unreliable

the bluetooth on my x10 mini pro winds me up - i like to use with my car phone
i have to manually turn off when i'm out of the car - else making and receiving calls is a pain
but i can live with that
only reason why i mention is because u should also research if the htc wildfire has bluetooth issues (if that's relevant to u)
htc tattoo: i love it. great phone. shame it has android 1.6. the bluetooth on it was cr*p.
the other amazing thing about the htc tattoo was that htc had INTENTIONALLY dumbed down the phone and made it a simpler pathetic phone ON PURPOSE!! there are other phones of the EXACT same spec as the phone that have far superior performance which don't suffer from the same damn problems
i suspect they might have done the same with the wildfire!

A big problem we are having is the Wifi keeps dropping off. Screen doesnt always react to touch. Laggy and battery is very poor

and i thought it my st*pid router - i'd been cursing this for dropping wifi connection!
it is a little better with android 2.1 though - it still drops looads though - much better than before

battery performance: *reallY* sucks

At the same time, I can get the phone for €99 due to an upgrade, and she's a fairly light phone user so perhaps things wouldn't bug out on her!
