Actually, one merged thread is a hell of a lot easier to track than 1,000 threads on the same exact topic with the same exact questions seeking the same exact answers.
Actually no. Having multiple threads with separate names gives some semblance of organization and at least gives you an idea of what's in them - and thus where to find an answer. How are multiple, unique, and separate subtopics RESTING within an overarching category, but nevertheless unique in their own right, mashed together into a single long thread in run-on-sentence-manner (much like this sentence) easier than just having separate subtopic threads? Each of the threads that now represent this thread were unique enough to deserve their own thread, imo, but because some mod that passed by saw update or froyo or whatever in the topic heading that suddenly makes it not unique enough right? That's like saying everything that has to do with the Captivate should go into one thread. And obviously reading through 10 pages of disjointed shit is easier than skimming through a series of topic headers. What we have now is like a hard-drive that needs defragging.
