Possible Speaker Buzz Fix for X

I was researching my speaker buzz problem and came across droidforums.net where user "penmx182" said to fix the speaker buzz he shot some canned air into the ear piece.

I just gave this a try and it worked PERFECTLY for me. Just wanted to share in case people hadn't seen this fix yet. I don't know if it will work for all of the speaker buzz issues but it definitely resolved mine!

I tried the same thing and it did work,,,for a while, then it came back. Why is this intermittent? I have a feeling it has to do with the vibration function.

I returned mine to walmart for a refund and ordered from Verizon online and am still waiting. The phone was perfect aside from that buzz which made me want to spank my kids at random.

Heres hoping the new one doesn't have buzz,,, for my kids sake Lol.

I tried the canned air thing too, but it didn't work. Just got my replacement today, and so far it's perfect.

The true solution would be to send it in and get a replacement.

I received my replacement on Weds..........problem fixed; annoying crackling, buzz sound is GONE....POOF!

Glad you posted this. I've had mine since launch and had 0 problems whatsoever. Just started doing this today and got me worried. Off to the store to buy some canned air!

*wait, I just found some with my cleaning chemicals. Gave it a shot and it's back to normal! Yes!!

How long did it take for the buzzing to come back?

Lol yeah the best fix I know is get a replacement. Which I got today. Speaker buzz fixed.

Just blew it out - will check back in if it worked. Had to verify that I had insurance still through Verizon just in case.

I am on my 3rd X since August.... first two had no speaker issues.... this third unit does however. Trying to decided if I should get Verizon to send me another one or not. Even with Titanium backup, it takes several hours to get everything set back up the way I want it on a replacement phone. Prolly should just do it instead of putting up with a buzzing internal speaker.
