Help dark tremor a2sd

i did not partition my sd card though i move apps to sd using the manage apps under sytem, where do my apps go then?

btw i run a2sd sysinfo and saw the apps mounted individually as /dev/block/dm-# (# being 0-8 only have 8 moved so far)

i dont see them in .android_secure either, does it still go to the sd card?

im using koni elite series III with dark tremor.

please advise.

do you have a file explorer?

open it and see if you can find a file called sd-ext

see what is in there if anything ...it shouldn't be there if you didn't partition the card tho

i am using es file and i dont see that folder, that is why i'm wondering where the apps are being saved if i move them to sd

none of the the apps that where "on SD card" tab in the manage applications are in system/app where could they be?

a2sd and froyo apps2sd are two different things. If you didn't specifically partition the sdcard, then run a2sd reinstall, then you aren't using a2sd. If you do that, however, it changes the location of all apps, meaning you don't move them on an app by app basis (there is a solution for that, but this isn't it). When you run a2sd sysinfo, it's giving you more global information about the system, more or less used for troubleshooting. What you are doing is froyo apps2sd. You see apps under the "apps on sdcard" section in manage applications, correct? If so, that is exactly what you're doing. a2sd sysinfo will not be all that helpful to you right now. That being said, I'm a bit confused as to what you're saying you're seeing. Can you run this from the terminal:

su
a2sd sysinfo > /sdcard/a2sd_sysinfo

Then copy the text file named a2sd_sysinfo on your sdcard to you computer, and post it here. That way, we can look at the output.

Anyway, when you copy apps to the sdcard, they go to .android_secure, so what do you mean by you don't see them there? It's not the whole app. It leaves portions of it on internal storage, so that it can execute. As the sdcard is fat32, it can't just copy the whole thing. That's why we use a2sd to copy entire apps. If you look in .android_secure, don't expect to just see apks. What are you seeing in that directory?

i used the manage applications in settings/applications to move apps

ROM now is koni ESIII although its the same thing with Mik4.5.

btw i can see changes in size if i move apps back in forth i just want to know where is it physically for probably for may sanity and backup purposes.
