What are the chances that Verizon does a UMTS overlay of there entire network like Telus and Bell up in Canada? It would be awesome because New handsets would wouldn't have to support CDMA....And from what Ive read about Belus's switch it is mostly a software change and maybe some backhaul alteration...It would introduce SO many new handsets to Verizon including the iPhone.

Zero chance. All efforts at Verizon will be getting 25 or so markets LTE capable by the end of the year. There's no time for UMTS overlay and it would be completely counter-productive to do so. Sorry.

Hmm maybe that is a good thing that they are focusing all there energy on LTE. I would like to see them crush AT&T once again in coverage for some reason....

huh? Haaas someone been watching the new At&t commercials lol...:D
Seriously? I believe they do in fact already "crush" at&t in coverage do they not?

AT&T will have to yank those commercials when the LTE network goes live. Verizon will be the fastest. Actually, T-Mobile should sue AT&T right now because they're already at 7.2Mbps.
