Help how to upgrade samsung galaxy 3 I5801 android 2.1 to android 2.2

Hi,
i have samsung galaxy 3 I5801 mobile phone, i want to "how to upgrade samsung galaxy 3 I5801 android 2.1 to android 2.2" . because my phone is support upto 2.2 android OS..
Please help me ...

how can i do this ??

Don't man. Belive me, I was also curious like you but don't do it. Just wait till the official 2.2 is released.
If you're doing this, you might have a chance to brick your phone.

Though if you really want to you can have a look at this topic I opened a while ago. Just scroll down and you'll see a %100 working tutorial on how to flash your phone to 2.2.

But like I said, don't do it. That was my first mistake when I bought my I5800.

Well, I upgraded to Froyo yesterday without any problem following basically this topic:

I did remove boot.bin and Sbl.bin from the tar file though in order to keep original boot loader (I am not sure if this was the right thing to do).

Actually, everything was working fine in Froyo on the phone: wifi, sms, calling, bluetooth, ... but just for a couple of hours. Then it completely frooze and I had to take out the battery.

After reboot, everything was fine again, for an hour or 2 or so. Then again a complete freeze.

So at the end, I downgraded back to Eclair. I will wait for the official Samsung upgrade.

Guys,
Flashing is not at all risky if u read the instructions carefully and do it likewise....
I've flashd my phone like 30-35 times since I bought it..and its working..so do it if u want the froyo but at the end its ur responsibility of not bricking ur phone...

The 2.2 roms are working fine, except for a few glitches...

But I tell u I found this hybrid Rom[JPA/JPB] ...totally flawless...its been three weeks and no force closing...n good battery backup..

By any chance does anybody know if its possible to upgrade android 2.3 or above on Samsung galaxy 3 I5801??? I upgraded my galaxy from 2.1 to 2.2 via Kies... I have to admit, now my galaxy is running smoothly... very rarely it goes slow... For that if I switch off my cell and on it again it runs smoothly...

So any news about if and when can we upgrade our galaxy 3 to 2.3 or above???

i was too facing similar problem, just remove the sim card put another sim card of another network then again put your old one.
