Help Aaarrrggghh! Memory issues...

I'm having difficulty with memory. I'm getting those messages that memory is full when I try to text, even though I have deleted texts. So I took a look through this forum to seek some answers, but I'm still having problems. Here's what I've done so far:

1) I have Advanced Task Killer installed, and I do use it. When I last used it, my memory went from 238M to 289M.

2) At the suggestion of another thread, I downloaded App 2 SD. I ran the app, and it showed only 2 apps that could be moved; when I tried to move one of them (AppBrain App Market, 2.41MB), I got this: "Failed to move application. There is not enough storage left."

3) So then I installed Astro File Manager to see what's on my SD card (which has 2G storage). I ran the app, which showed 3 directories. All 3 of them, when selected, said "Directory is empty."

Anyone have a clue?? Thanks!

Hey there! I am having some of the similar issues. It just recently started. I got a 32gb memory card. And it will randomly pop up and say there isn't enough memory. And now when I take pictures they either come out distorted or the auto erase, my wifi at the house wont pick up. And when I called Cricket customer service...they were complete idiots. If anyone has any advice or can give assistance...I know I would greatly appreciate
it. And I am sure the above person would too!

I finally went to the Cricket store and they reset my phone back to factory or what ever it is they do that erases all your added programs etc and now it works better than ever. and I added handcent program and i can hear my message notifications loud and clear

I bought a 32 gig card as well. The problem I had was it kept auto-deleting items. Tried the reset and reformatted the card. No deal. Finally, I found that it was possibly the cards speed. So, I got another card that was a 4 times one and everything seems to work fine now.

Well, I don't know what is causing your problem, but the first thing I would do is get rid of ATK. You don't need it, and it does more harm than good. There is plenty of info out there about this if you care to look. For moving apps to sd, check out an app called "Link to SD". It will allow you to move a lot more than App 2 sd, including the Dalvik cache. Honestly, though, if you already have 200+ MB of free memory, that is plenty, and shouldn't be causing any problems.
