Has anyone been able to save any data from internal storage? I have pics that I have not backed up and I need to fetch my google email address because I dont use it, it was made for me by the Store and I will need it to get my paid apps back. Thanks for any suggestions. I have read the other stuck in reboot threads but I am looking for any fresh ideas. By the way, this all started from seeing the "you are short on internal storage warning, so I deleated a bunch of email and it would not go away. As soon as I tried rebooting, it went into the loop and hasnt come out. I can get into boot recovery but I am scared of clearing storage. VZW has me a new refurb on the way overnight but I would like to get my data if possible.

Thanks, i'll let you know if it works. I do have Pandora installed but I noticed when putting it into recovery mode that it said there was no memory left on the phone. That was the same error that I was trying to fix before i rebooted it and then it got stuck in reboot loop. Is Pandora causing a memory leak?

Edit: I pulled the battery for like 15 min and it didn't work. I have the Boot animation with the Android guy poping up around the edges and then it says Droid right when the Droid spells out on the screen. WHen the Red eye pops up and the dots start to race back and forth around the eye you can fell the phone buz really quick and then it reloops back where the word Incredible is spelled out but not all the way back to the HTC splash. I don't know what else to try. I will clear storage before sending it back but i'm not sure if that will even work. Clearing boot cache doesnt work when using the recovery console. I tried recovery but it trys to boot in and hangs with a picture of the phone and a triangle with a ! in the middle of it. This one must be a total gonner.

So this is a rooted phone? or you changed your boot animation?

the EXACT same thing happened to me and a few other people on here that i've seen. i'm trying to find out the same thing as u. i don't want to do another factory reset. this is my 3rd one. yup i'm scared of what to do on the boot screen too. i'm scared to even open it up actually lol and yea if you clear storage that will wipe your phone or so i'm told so i wouldn't try that. i think you can clear cache though and possibly data too but the data is a little ify cuz it stores some of ur stuff in there so be careful with that one too.

ugh i need the same help people!! please help us out. and then let us know how we can back the entire system up so that if this happens again we're prepared....thanks :/

Hi all; this is my 2nd post ever on the forum so please be patient with me...what did y'all do to resolve this? My phone has been showing the low data msg; tonight I dumped a bunch of emails; phone rebooted by itself while I was on it and since then it's been stuck in the endless reboot from hell. I have pulled the battery out numerous times; no luck. I am hesitant to clear storage or cache as I have a few things not backed up (thank goodness I moved my pics to pc/Carbonite the other night!). Is there any chance to back my data up before doing a factory reset? Please help!

I would try clearing the cache first. It won't hurt anything, and won't etrade ant of your data. Assuming you haven't, try pulling the battery and leaving it out for a while (a few minutes at least). Both those have a low probability of fixing the problem but won't hurt anything by trying. Also try taking out the sd card.

What are you trying to backup? If it's on the sd card or the 6.5gb internal storage our should be safe from a factory reset. Other than that, if our didn't boot up you're pretty much SOL.

Oh, and welcome to the forums. Sorry your weren't brought here for a happy reason. For future reference, it bad practice to post the same problem in multiple places. The people responding don't necessarily see each others responses, and that makes it harder for people to walk you through any diagnosis and solution.

EDIT: if you have one, you could try switching batteries. The battery from most recent htc phones would work.
