Well I took the plunge here in China and bought the 'Hero' unlocked for 2850rmb (415USD). With no previous knowledge of Android or htc I must admit being quite blown away by the very cool features and Android apps available.
I have to list some negatives though:
1. Virtual keyboard - this will take some time, is there an app for this?
2. Many low standard Android apps in the Market. I don't want to screw up the phone by downloading and uninstalling.
3. Lots of apps but how many are really worthwhile?
4. Forum is a bit hard for a newbie like me to navigate but I'll work at it.
The positives far outweigh the negatives and the potential is now obvious.
Cheers
