And something I thought of last night while trying to figure this whole fiasco out, just follow me here...

Is it possible that VZW was given the US exclusive for, let's say 30 days and that the 11/3 date was in fact meant to be the original release date? Then along came deals with the razr and rezound and vzw thought it couldn't pass up given their relationship with moto and htc and it would be in their best interests to lose some of its exclusivity period rather than have to try to sell people on devices using the "old" version of android instead of the new ICS?? Seems like this is by far the most likely reason(in some variant) that we sit where we currently sit

That is an interesting point. Yesterday I was thinking along a similar thought-line. I am guessing any 'exculsivity' contract points would be based off a hardware/software (Samsung/Google) available dates and not a release date. Just guessing on my part....

i say you find out a date and just let us know if its worth waiting or if we should rent a razr/rezound dont tell us a date though non of us would ever want your sisters job jeopardized.

Do it and don't tell us. I think its better for you to know if you need to get the Rezound or not, but I think your decision will tell us how close the date is.

Were I in your shoes, I would get a date just to be personally prepared for it. After all, we're just a consolidation of global phone geeks on the Internet... we're not really worth ANYONE'S job. Not in this economy or any other. Get the date and don't tell us until she's in the clear.

How about a simple "" for good news and a "" for bad news. Pretty generic and open enough for interpretation. But honestly, don't jeopardize your sister's job in any case if that gives away too much.

At this rate T-Mobile will release the Nexus before Verizon! And Google can tell Verizon to shove it because they gave them a month to release it first. If that happens I'm switching to ATT and getting an iPhone.

You might be able to the GNEX on AT&T in future... I was on the phone with AT&T yesterday for a billing issue. After that was taken care of I asked about when/if AT&T would be getting the GNEX. Initially she said that she has no information on new phones until a week or two before they are available. I then asked if she could at least tell me 'if'? After some searching on her end she did find in in their system with all of the stats of the phone. The big question is when?

But still, do ask her for the date, and definitely do not tell any one of us. The only risk is that if it gets out by some other source, the blame still might fall on you.
