Tough call. There are 2 sides. For those with a dying phone I know what I'd do...go get a new feature phone or activate an old phone just to tide me over until the phone I want comes out. Or you could go for one of the "R's", confirm on paper what your return policy is, and go from there. Who knows you might end up liking one of the "R's". Several here have. A dilemma indeed!

I got fed up with my OG Droid this weekend and unfortunately had to swap it out with the R-Word. It's a great phone so far but I'm still hoping that the GNex releases within the extended return period. If the GNex indeed does end up launching after the extended release period, then I'd be perfectly fine (I say that now) with putting up with the Rezound for the next 2 years. Currently my only gripe with the Rezound is all the useless apps that Verizon put on the phone that you can't remove. Perm root can't come soon enough!

I just wanted to comment on the double data plan.

I found this thread over a month ago and have been following it daily. I really appreciate all the information this forum has provided!

I've been on the same Samsung V-cast flip phone since April 2006, so I'm a bit overdue for an upgrade.

Since I've never had a smartphone, I'm hoping to lock into the double data plan. I just called Verizon and explained that as soon as the Nexus is released I will be adding a data plan.

The Verizon representative I just spoke with told me the double data plan will go until January 15, so hopefully that date is accurate and I can be a little more patient waiting for this phone.

Welcome to our corner of the nut house. Thanks for the input.

Ugh.

I really hope this isn

What I'm saying is when you release the phone in the thousands and we are all itching for the slightest bit of news, you notice these things. With only a select number of people testing the vzw version and working under NDAs, they may very well be experiencing the same problems, no way to say that they aren't

I didn't say they aren't, I said I'm not assuming that they are. Conversely, you also can't say that the Verizon version is experiencing these problems. It's all conjecture and speculation at this point.

Really? Screen re-draws still? You think they would've fixed this by now, c'mon.

[Q] Anyone Noticed Home Screen Lag? - xda-developers

I know we are nit-picking, but its just some things that I feel should be fixed.

Yeah. Only 1 reply so 2 reported cases though. A little early who knows what he's got running on the phone or how he has set it up. Hope it's a confined issue

I will wait this out for as long as I can or another phone is announced that I will wait for instead. Thankfully my Thunderbolt is going strong, I've never had any problems as others have stated.

I like the Razr's looks but Motorola camera's are horrible. I don't want the Rezound, I already own the TB and have owned the Incredible.

I just want a release date...cmon Verizon, is that so difficult?
