Help Weird Home Screen issue

Hey all, wanted to know if anyone else noticed this...

On the main Home Screen, you have the 2 dots on each side was well as the app drawer launcher in the middle.

Periodically, I notice that even though I am at the center home screen, rather than having 2 dots on each side, I have 3 on the left and 1 on the right.

once I move one way or the other and back to center, it fixes itself.

Anyone else have this issue?

Those are supposed to be there. It's the page indicators. Hold down on the buttons and mini windows pop up showing those screens where you can pick the one and it'll move to it.

Ok all, apparently those with the smart a$$ replies aren't READING my post...

Ok, so at the point I quoted above... The issue I am seeing is when I am at the CENTER HOME SCREEN when there should be 2 dots on each side.

Guess I didn't read, sorry - hope you didn't think I was being a smart a$$ with my reply

Anyway, I just noticed I could reproduce the same thing - I was in Market, hit home, and I had 3 on the left, one on the right.

Now we're both confused.

Ok, I got off my butt and installed the Android SDK on my Win7 x64 and got everything working...

Here is what I am seeing (look in the lower right corner):

Here is the same screen with the error (again, look in the lower right corner):

Replicate this by launching an application that is on one of the side screens off the center one, then click the HOME soft key on the phone face and it should take you back to your center home screen with the above issue shown.

I still have not had the nerve to root this thing... Wonder how long my willpower can last...
