Best DUAL SIM android phone?

Here is what I had tonight - at 12:30am battery was charged for 35%. At 6:35am it was 0%. WTF?
For me it nonsence! I'm pissed

You must get used with the battery indication curve.

Like on most phones the curve is not exactly linear. Most of the power is drained between 45 and 100%, so when you read 35% likely you have something like a real 15%.

Just use "battery monitor widget" for a week or so to realize what's going on.

Let's see:
1- If they will ever get released. They announce but don't always follow...
2- If they are a total failure like the V350

I'm curious and interested but not holding may breath

saw that news this afternoon.
This should be quite reliable as phones in MWC are generally market ready.
looks promising.
and who knows, maybe ZTE will have a high end dual sim in the 8 phones they are announcing next week too.

I have widget that shows me battery usage. It calls "quick battery"

by the way situation with etotalk changed for me before this I thought that would spend less if buy directly from other sellers not eTotalk. but when I got the phone i got also the problems, the known root methods not working the Installed ROM was not stable and had no other language than English and Chinese. I applied to Etotalk for help as they are only English speaking and well known sellers of phones who has multilingual ROM. Of course i have paid for the software they provide. From the first sight it is a little bit high price but it really cost the money asked. The service i got from them was kind and helpful they help me to unlocK 3G on second sim- root - new recovery flash - and provide all available roms for testing and find out the best one suit my needs. I can offer to everyone who dont want to experiment with unknown programs to apply for help to Etotalk

I have moved the discussion of Solutor's ROM to a new thread so this discussion may resume on the topic of the best dual SIM Android phones. Sorry for the delay, but there was a great deal of discussion about the best way to keep both interesting topics going. I hope the delay hasn't killed it for you guys.

If you want to discuss the ZTE U960 ROM, please continue in this thread : http://androidforums.com/other-phones-android-non-android/510094-zte-u960-rom-discussion.html

Although the XT532 is running smoothly and fast in general (fast compared to my HD Mini converted to froyo) there seems to be a hick up every now and then with the back button. It sometimes seems to stop responding. So if you want to go back within the application in which this happends, you have to kill it. Or just wait, normally it gets back to normal wihtin a minute. But still anoying. Is there anyone out there with the same experience (or better, a solution)?
thx

Yes, I have the same problem. Did you get a resolution to it?

Hello guys, i'm looking for my first android, well, i don't have so much money to waste, so i was looking for something not that expensive and still acceptable, i saw this one, could you guys tell me if i should buy that? (edit: well, as i'm a new member, i can't post link, but if you go to ebay and search for "Mobile TV Phone WCDMA 3G Dual Sim Unlock 4.3" Android 2.3 MP3 WIFI GPS 2GB A920" you will find it)

if not, what one should i buy? with maximum price of 230$, thanks for your attention =p.

no, back button lags only if you don't hold the phone (i.e. on table)with your hand

I gathered that, but why does Home or Search button work when the phone is on the table? I cant see any reason why only back button should behave like that?

A feedback on my experience in XT532 so far:

After months of wait, discussions, trialling V350 (and eventually returning the handset), following this thread - I got Motorola XT532 for a week now.

My decision to buy XT532 was based on:

Size: 3.5", better build, comfortable size to hold in pocket/hand
Price: Big difference to U960

I have been using HTC Desire and Desire S and I knew I wont get similar screen or performance, but pleased I dont have to carry two phones now!

In short - I am pleased with the phone - if not overjoyed!
- Good build, looks decent, back cover looks professional
- Dual sim functionality works well (with a caveat described later)
- WCDMA + GSM is fine and easy to switch between SIMs for data
- Screen resolution is decent
- Internal memory is ok (but not sufficient as I had to move many apps to SD card)
- No lock-ups so far but phone has run a bit slow on rare occasions

In general, pleased with the purchase. Two things are bothering at the moment and one seems to be rather serious.

1. In my excitement, I accidentally deleted deskclock.apk (I think) from /system/app . Since then I have not been able to set alarm. I downloaded some widgets and clock works fine but trying to set alarm gives error "process.com.android.deskclock has stopped unexpectedly". Can anyone please help how I can fix this? I downloaded some deskclock.apk and installed but to no avail as I think the apk must be linked to the firmware? Could anyone please email me the apk from their phone?

2. Secondly, and more worryingly - the GSM SIM (SIM 2) goes out of reach now and again. It is a O2, UK SIM and if I dial from another phone the message I get is "it is not been possible to connect your call, please try again later". What I sense is that something is happening on the phone/network so that instead of going to voice message, it makes the announcement as above. There is no visible pattern when the signal bar on the status bar disappears. I have not contacted Motorola or O2 yet but was hoping others may have faced the same problem and may have a resolution.

Point 2 is worrying but am sure I can fix both. Assuming they are fixed, I would be happy to recommend the phone.

for back button, press your finger more time and it works

uninstall your clock. then install this one..end enjoy

for second problem..try changing place. may that depends by your local provider signal.

for least...follow us Motorola XT532 Dual Sim • Indice so we can leave here place to other phones

Thank you and I had installed that app but then later deleted as it took precious 2.46MB of phone's memory. I cant afford that given all the apps I have!! So, ideally, looking for a stock apk that will resolve my problem.

Yes, I agree that phone specific discussions need not happen here but the forum you have is in Italian and I just struggled to create my login!! Possibly we can start a link on this form?

... the GSM SIM (SIM 2) goes out of reach now and again.

I have seen very similar problems on both dual SIM Androids I have owned - very frequent on the Cherry Orbit and much less frequent on the G11i Pro from etotalk.

The problem, appears to have been totally resolved on the G11i Pro since installing one of the later modified ROMs produced by Bruno Martins.

The G11i Pro now consistently outperforms my old Nokia N97 mini in weak signal areas.

Also, the G11i Pro is now able to receive calls on either SIM, even when a data connection is in use.
