What carrier are you on so I can manage my expectations..!?
as a Vodafone customer I shall expect to be the last to receive it after they have had their hands on it for a while to check it (check being add bloatware to it)

Don't know how many here have upgraded to ICS. However after the update WIFI isn't working as all. The same thing happened to a friend of mine....
Anyway, did you see any improvement, except the WiFi ?
Argh ,I was hoping to get the wifi issues solved with the update....
My WiFi access point works fine with computer, ps3 and HTC tattoo. The sensation cannot connect, only way I found is to use static IP

Today, Vodafone UK, just pushed me an update to "Optimise phone to upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0"
If you're rooted expect your phone to get ****ed very soon...
I saw no such update, but I suppose that's a positive sign.Today, Vodafone UK, just pushed me an update to "Optimise phone to upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0"
It took two seconds to run and seemed to have no effect...
BUT its a good sign that ICS is on its way to Vodafone UK Sensations...

Excellent advice, thanks!Look in your Apps for a Voda app called 'Updates', mine was set to manual but when I did 'Check for updates' I got the optimisation/sysprep package people are talking about here.
I'm not quite sure I follow, I'm afraid.I'm not surprised some "rooted" users will not be looking forwards to Vodafone's ICS upgrade as there is potential for it to brick their phone I suppose, but with Android being an open source OS, I wouldn't expect it to.
Of course I will be the first to eat my words if Vodafone's update crashes my vanilla Vodafone Sensation, but otherwise I expect all hardware, radios etc to work as they should (unlike some of the xda versions found there).
So long as its here before mid-May, my phone will still be in its 12mth warranty!
