Just got the droid razor today and for some reason seem to be unable to send or receive mms (at least pictures) with it. I did some trouble shooting and searching around ad finally came up with some issues with APN settings. So i went and switched to CDMA only and was able to send myself a picture message but still haven't had any luck receiving from others. Is anybody else having issues? Know a solution?

I haven't ever turned wifi on yet so I don't think that was the issue. However I got pushed an OTA update last night and this morning everything seems to be working fine. Not sure if my phone was just acting up, the network was acting up, or they actually fixed it with the update. Might have had something to do with dropped data that people seem to be having problems with. Thanks for responding though.

The only time I've run into this issue is when I've been on wifi (which is annoying as hell IMHO!). On the cellular network, I can send/receive MMS without an issue.

I have smart actions set up so it does NOT turn off cellular data when on wifi, This effectively keeps the 3g icon up, all data for apps, internet browser ect is throug hthe wifi but the MMS messages go through 3G, I have my phone on CDMA only all the time due to no 4g in my area yet.

Hey guys just got the Razr on Friday December 23rd, 2011. I was having the same problem. i called in and got tech support done here is what they had me do. Turn off the phone with a soft rest (just the normal power off) take the sim card out for a min. then put the sim back in and start it. no change after this But..
they then had me do a Factory reset which will erase all apps so make sure u back up your contacts threw your gmail did the factory reset took a photo then sent it to my self and it now works perfectly. Great phone again.

I had problem with sending/receiving mms massages. Everything was set up right but for some reason there was no chance for me to work with mms!
And then i disconected mobile data network!! Pressed download and - there it was. Just like that.
For some reason, when Mobile data network was enabled my Razr could not download pictures...and when i disabled it, he reconected by himself/downloaded it/and disconected...in a second.

I dont have an idea was was the trick but it works. I dont know if i helped you, i hope so :)
Anyway that was my case.

Cheers ;)

So can you tell me where "mobile data network" is on the Razr Maxx? I'd like to try to do what you did but don't know how. Motorola told me I'd have to reset and so I'd lose all my downloaded apps, all recent mail, etc. and even then they couldn't guarantee that it would work.:(

I would recomend this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsInJvLm5ldHJvdXRlLmR0dyJd
Then long press on an empty part of the screen, select Widgets, scroll down to find the Data Toggle Widget.

Onec you have it on your screen, it is easy to either disable or enable data.
