Help Loading apps when unlocking

I'm noticing that every now and then when I unlock my phone I am greeted with an app instead of the home screen.

This would be fine if I left the app open, but I didn't. When I click the 'back' button to close the app, it'll go back through that app, then back to a completely different app!

It's a bit strange, the only way out is to click the home button, which isn't a big deal really. But it still shouldn't be doing it.

Is anyone else having this issue? If so, found out what's causing it and how to stop it from happening?

Thanks all, apart from this, awesome phone! All round love for it :)

Hi there,

1) Interesting you wrote that, I was just about to make a topic as well. I have exactly the same issue, first I thought it is because when unlocking you swipe towards the icons down, but that ain't the issue.
It seems to randomly open contacts or messages which I cannot afterwords close and have to go to "home button" for help.
I personally use "advanced task killer" and I kill all programs after I finish using the phone, to ensure clean memory and less things running in idle mode.

2) Having said that I also like to mention a similar issue, the phone has only 200-300 mb of free memory out of 1GB. Even my old rooted and custom firmware SGS 2 had 400-500mb free. I suspect that the SGS3 needs some custom firmwares, kernels and root in order for titanium back up to "freeze" this stupid pre-installed Google Bulls***.

Thanks in advance.
