Help music player updated, now dolby is missing?

ok so i tried to post this awhile back but with no success,( told me i couldn't haven't any links in the post ,which i didn't )

i had just gotten the connect like 3 weeks ago ,at the time of buying it i noticed how it had Dolby sound advertised on the box, which is a good selling point for someone like me as a music junky, (like many of our members i would assume)

i never had a chance to try Dolby at all ,knew it was there and i had seen the option but was to busy with tweaking the phone rooting ,removal of bloatware and so on.

2 days later ,my music player auto updated , it went from ]music[ to ]play music[ ? now i dont have the dolby option at all ,not in settings ,nowhere, nada , even when i quick scroll through music the side letter that would pop up to help show your position is gone which is a big help if you have a large collect

play music even wants you to sign in just to listen to your own music
i feel ive been ripped off

anyone else have the same problem or any solution

any input or help would be greatly appreciated

p.s.
i look foward to be a member of this community

Welcome to AF! Enjoy your stay!

Play Music is a whole different app than the native music player which has Dolby. Your music played didn't get "updated" it is just a different app. Just look for the native music player in your app drawer. You could also uninstall Play Music. The reason you need to sign in to listen to music in Play Music is because it saves all your music on the could so that it doesn't have to be on your SD card taking up massive amounts of space (for people who have a lot of music). Hope I helped.

thank you hYpHyPuRpLe for your warm welcome ,it is very appreciated.
(also for you help)

but my native music player is non existent

the icon for it was headphones that said music at the bottom of it
which is where i could find the Dolby option at the top after selecting the app,

that was completely replaced by play music once it updated

ive already looked in to my app drawer, and there is only play music
which cannot be removed , i can only remove the updates which ive already tried ,it reverts back to just "music" but it still gives me the same play app , which just shows ( recent artist albums songs, playlist genres at the top) and the only options i get are shuffle all ,make available offline, show all music, and setting, in settings there's nothing helpful

my connect is rooted and i know how to remove so called un removable apps ,im just dumb founded on how im having this problem , i remember seeing the app update itself ,also i never downloaded play music unless it came preloaded on the phone, which would mean it was my native player to being with as there is/was no other player in my drawer

it sucks but im thinking the only was around this is if someone could pull their native player software off and upload it so i can manualy install it , but until then im still up for advice

can someone upload a screen shot of the app icon for their native music player?

Hey guys, I was wondering if you can help me out on this issue. So I wanted to see if my LG Connect was updated by installing the latest version on LG.com and now I don't have the stock music player. Instead I have the music app that omegadyne was talking about.

Here are the screenshots:

I see the stock music widget, but not the stock music player and I am unable to uninstall the music app either. Anyone has an idea how I can solve this issue?
