Help Facebook authorization failing

I am running the latest ICS leak and am rooted. No other modifications.

Once or twice a day I get a notification that FB authorization has failed. I then have to re-login to the FB app. My sync and notification preferences have to be reset and I need to re-authorize Facebook for Sense.

Anybody else seeing this behavior?

Same here. I uninstalled the latest FB update and that seems to have fixed it.

I have the same issue...

It must of occurred in the last update.

I just uninstalled the facebook updates last night (Tuesday).

So, I guess only time will tell if my issue is corrected.

I'm running the newest ICS leak and I am not rooted either...

It will just uninstall the updates...

I installed the latest Facebook app.

I had this issue a couple of times a day...

But.... I have yet to have it reoccur since Tuesday, July 31.

Seems Facebook corrected it on their end....

Anyone else see this issue go away?

not going on away here...i get it overnight since upgrading to ics.

My wife has gotten in once on her DINC4G, and I have gotten once on my Moto Atrix but still happening a couple of times a day on my Rezound.

Now running ICS OTA, rooted and unlocked.
Not as often as before the OTA, but still a couple of times a day.

I once again, have uninstalled the facebook updates...

The last version to work is version 1.8.4 which is available out in the forum if you search for it...

Since installing it a week ago, I have had zero issues with authorization failing.

I uninstalled the update and set the app in Market not to auto update. Hopefully this will help. I still haven't been able to get my FB contact pictures to show up in GO SMS Pro.

and you wont.... unless you use one of the workarounds that are out there... You'll have to search for them, but there are threads that have multiple options.

Either ICS or Facebook has blocked access to facebook contact photos for 3rd party app's... So, it's either facebook or the app's job to update and fix.

So what is the "original state" facebook will restore to when you uninstall updates? (I obviously don't really know how this stuff works) Would it be the version of FB that came with ICS, or originally with my phone, Froyo, or Gingerbread or what???

It would be the version of Facebook that is imbedded in the firmware currently on you phone and is different for each firmware release. Once you went from GB to ICS the firmware was replaced, all old versions of ROM applications were replaced, never to return without going S-OFF and flashing back to an older RUU.

I'm currently running the .2 RUU and with the last update from Facebook, haven't run into the "Fail Authorization" issue....

I did have this issue quite often before, but just uninstalled the updates and all was good.

As for contact images.... Facebook is currently blocking these to 3rd party app's... Until that changes, you will have to use a work-around that you can find already posted...

An uninstall of FACEBOOK should return you to version 1.8.3 which worked fine...

Also if you search the forum, you will find version 1.8.4 which also worked fine with ICS....

Again, I am running the leaked ICS 4.03.605.2 RUU and the Facebook version 1.9.9 which for the last 2 weeks has played fine together.... no failed authorization issues at all.

Disable HTC sense and facebook for HTC sense. Fb for Android will work right after that. Worked for me.

Settings and then apps. Select those items and disable.
