Hi,
I joined this forum because I am considering buying a android based phone. I been a full time RVer for 8 years and travel extensively. Consequently, my first consideration is the network and Verizon seems to be the best for coverage. I have internet access via satellite.
My wife loves her ITouch, but would love to have an IPhone if it could run on Verizon's network. However, it doesn't seem like this will happen soon, so we are looking at the Android phones. We mostly like the Droid and can get 2 for 1 now.
My concerns with the Droid are:
1. When we tried it, the keyboard was difficult to type accurately on. Do you get more accurate with practice?
2. Is there enough internal storage for most needs and does the external SD storage integrate smoothly with the internal storage?
3. Are there comprehensive backup and restore capabilities? I use a PC.
4. How easy is it to migrate music and audio books from Itunes to android phones?
5. Are there a good selection of consumer oriented apps. My wife plays a lot of games on her ITouch. So far, I haven't come across a comprehensive catalog of apps.
I joined this forum because I ran across it in the process of researching some of the above questions.
