Never thought I'd hear this from a Gnex watering holer. Thought this phone was like a "God" over there.

Yeah, guess I didn't stay long enough as you folks were way too smart for me. Example : "Hey, I just rooted my Gnex & added kernel 8.7.6.9er w/ an CPU mod amplifier adapter extender."

After reading that I was like why is this person planting ( rooting ) their phone in their yard & eating Kentucky Fried Chicken ( kernel ) while talking on a walkie talkie that is hooked up to their home computer.

Not making fun of you guys it's just my way of hiding behind one of the areas I need to spend more time educating myself on.

I must say I need a Polaris ( pool sweep) watering hole ! Spent my entire morning outside working on it ! Anyway, now my pool is beautiful again! Have a few friends coming over for nibbles and drinks, and Sunday is officially started now!

Those speed test don't mean anything if the phone can't stay connected to the network

Something my nexus had trouble constantly doing. I seriously suspect its just the area I live in. HSPA+ is slower but beats the typical 3g speeds I got with verizon at work. Like 3-400 kbps. What a shame.

Hope AT&T proves better. Im done buying phones for a while.

Ringtones are even worse. My wallpapers are very boring you wouldn't like 'em. Try Zedge.

Ringtones? I almost NEVER have the volume up on my phone. Its on vibrate 99% of the time unless I am expecting a call, or severe weather.

I ended up getting a microcell tower and jawbone jambox (free cell tower if I bought this thing) but I am now wondering if I am just going to take the two items back for a refund. The cell tower needs to be near a window and not in the basement (where I need it at) and the jambox? I may have a use for that, but not really sure. May have to play around with it for a bit before deciding for sure.

I've had no connection issues with my GS3 I get 3g reception at my desk at work and the guy that sits in the cube next to me can't hold a signal with his ATT Iphone. My only real complaint with VZW at this time is the locked bootloader... actions like that may drive me to another carrier

My request for thoughts on ATT network performance was bc of the problems I used to have with them.. not bc of issues I am having with my GS3

I also had very little connection issues with my Gnex... my main complaint was the one way audio bug. Couldn't rely on it to make a call and have the other person hear me.
