What does the Connect community think about the LG Motion?

I'm afraid that once this drops most if not all dev will slowly and eventually dead stop for this device. I mean it'll be a better phone (more than likely), and I've noticed that must of our devs free lance and usually go where ever the new toys are. Look how devs and users from esteem and admire/indulge flocked over here soon after this dropped. Its bound to happen I guess, I'd just like to see something worth while before the connect fades out. ICS or JB would be a nice addition..

At least its not like the attain side. My girl has that and I'm over there every so often and that place is deserted. The attain got pretty much no love save shabby with the pre rooted tar. Now the lightray is out so I'm sure the attain side will be no longer..

Edit:
Btw metro had also announced they're dropping a galaxy s3 sometime in sept.

Thinking about getting one... but Idk if its worth downgrading from Connect.

Would I be Able to swap SIM cards? Doesnt the Motion use the Large SIM cards?

The only reason i could see somebody going from a connect to this is selling the connect for 200 and buying this to pocket the cash difference . Otherwise ICS alone isn't worth going from a 4 inch screen to a 3.5.

I'm pretty sure is an upgrade, check those specs again, 1080hdp, 5g internal mem, s4 dual core (compared to the s3 dual core on the connect). The only draw back is the half inch smaller screen.

Edit: also there's no light sensor for screen auto dimming..

Auto brightness sucks IMO. Sounds like sarcasm though. Idk with you guys lol

Haha no I was serious, I can't stand not having autobrightness.. I think there's some apps the let you tweak the brightness for each light level, I haven't looked because its built into my phones Rom though. It's still a great phone at a great price but even the admire has a light sensor lol

Not only is the screen smaller but so is the resolution... it only 320 x 480 most high end games or app (if not all) will look bad on this phone... most high end. games will not even run on any phone that has 320. X 480... 480 x800 is the standard now a days... this is a really good phone but the screen resolution its self was a deal braker.. sticking wit the connect till the s3 comes out

Got this for the kid and it was not $99 it was $150 + $15 upgrade fee. You only get one $50 rebate if you buy two. They did give me the $50 unlimited plan with no problems. ICS is really different but snappy and no lag. They let you uninstall half of the metro bloat crap.

You should be able to freeze any system apps without root, at least that's how it is in stock ics
