Darn. I delete photos from my gnex. Is there a way to recover them? I tried recuva but because there's no external sd card, it does not recognize it.
I thought I was deleting one photo and deleted all of the cameras photos. Thought there might be a way to mount as mass storage and use a deleted file recovery program. But maybe not even with root.
I googled reviews for the Stellar program you linked before I lposted this question and people reviewed it poorly, called it a scam. So I avoided it.

You can always download the free version. It'll show you a preview of the recoverable photos, if it does this successfully, and the photos you're trying to recover are very valuable, go premium.
Sounds like a plan. I'll report back.

If I saved TB on my pc before I deleted the pix would the photo be in the gallery app in the backup?
No, I'm pretty sure they don't save with the app. They save in a separate folder.
Yeah. I looked a the backup I had of gallery. Photos are saved elsewhere. I just have to learn from this (backup pixs or upload) and move on.
