Help Trying to help my father set up his new phone...

My father just picked up a Casio G'zOne Commander from our local Verizon store today and it's been an uphill battle teaching him how to use his new toy thus far. He's not very tech savy but I've managed to teach him how to accept and place calls & texts and even take pictures.

Trouble is the touch screen itself, in particular when he's on the phone with someone. For some reason I think he's tripping the end button on the screen with his face and occasionally hangs up on people on accident. This is his first touch screen phone and he's already growing frustrated with it and missing his old phone.

Is there any settings I can tweak to make it easier for him and to stop him from hanging up on people by accident?

I had that problem too.... if it's updated to the latest over the air update, it's supposed to be fixed. I gave up on the commando. I think you have some time from purchase to trade it in.
I dunno, my mom went out and got an LG smartphone that I helped her set up. She got some hard case put on it that I couldn't get off, so I didn't know what she got, but it took her a few weeks to learn. She's 56. I helped her set up a few things.
But hey, it was a big upgrade from her flip phone with a pull out antenna. My mom is one of those type who's probably still paying for AOL because she never cancelled it.

He's still having trouble with the Commando but he likes it so I don't think we'll be taking it back. I was out of town for a week and he had some friends teach him a few things about Android phones so he's getting the hang of it thankfully.
