This last week the Official thread and information flow has really picked up speed. The following are the useful pieces of information one might find after digging through piles of crap:

Hmmm....what would we need before we could launch this thing???

Oh, i know, some inventory!

And where do we keep that??

At the warehouse!

Read it and salivate...7,500 dummy units and 21,600 screen protectors ready to go! We're getting closer!

Various Posts from Anonimac have come out to basically rock everyones world the past coupe of days. Theres so many, i simply am summarizing. If you want to see for yourself, go to page 556 on the Official thread. Summary: The HTC INCREDIBLE USER GUIDE was leaked, and released. The link for it can be found here : http://androidforums.com/attachment...htc-incredible-specs-evergreen-incredible.pdf

Also, here is a released equipment guide (also released by Anonimac): http://androidforums.com/attachment...pecs-evergreen-incredible-equipment-guide.pdf

The above documents have confirmed the majority of the rumored specs for the Incredible. and for those still questioning it: THE INCREDIBLE DOES HAVE 8GB INTERNAL STORAGE!

In other news, a screenshot (again, released by Anonimac :) ) of a "Internally distributed
" verizon memo has emerged. This post suggests New phones (POSSIBLY THE INCREDIBLE) will be announced monday, the 12th. The image is rather large, and can be found here:

Alright, so the real post this time...

I have gotten independent (read: not regurgitation of this thread) confirmation from a friend (and source...but friend first) who works for a certain popular site we all frequent (with "gadget" in the name...you figure it out) that the 4/29 date is confirmed to them as well from their VZW corporate account rep.

Furthermore, they expect to have a unit within the next 10 days to review and plan to (still working out details with VZW) publish a review to coincide with the phone's release (similar was done with Droid release).

Hope this comes as welcome news to you guys...i know it did to me.

Show of hands, who's getting a little excited about this thing being released???

The latest from my Source - I'm posting here - word for word -immediately as I hear from him:

"So much information today! WOW! I just got off the phone with my VZW rep. I sent her the link to the BBM/VZW pages for her to confirm. She is checking into it. She was told the 25th, but she said "this looks like the paperwork that I usually get" Maybe BB changed dates for presell??? She also said, she has not received her paperwork yet, but will let me know as soon as she does."

Ok, so let me add a bit to MM's post. I have held back since I was starting to loose my street cred here but with MM's post it has confirmed 2 of my sources from independent stores.

They stated that they should be able to sell my the phone on April 25th and that they are waiting on prices for the phone. I asked if they had the phone in stock and he stated that they are not in the stores. They both informed me that they did the same thing with the Devour as far as releasing before Corp stores release the phone. Although the Devour was about a month in advance from the Corp release, it sounds like it will be only a few days.

On top of this info I received more info from my VZW Corp office buddies that "the 29th will be an Incredible day" followed up with "Don't ask any questions" I didn't pry but with getting similar information from 3 different people, 2 out of the 3 working in different states I am going to say last week of April will be INCREDIBLE!!!

Again I am only going of what my sources are telling me.

P.S. Thanks MM, great info.

1. I can also confirm that MM shared this info with me a while ago.

2. Also, AFTER MM shared his info with me, I did some recon of my own at a local BB. Short story is that the rep looked in the computer and told me that BB is getting 1 new phone from VZW in April and that will be in stock on April 25, with a full retail price of $599. The rep also told me that the SKU and model number listed in the system did not reference the manufacturer or model by design, as that would prevent BB employees from “spilling the beans” on a phone that had not yet been announced.

3. At the same time, the manager of the wireless department at the same BB openly told me that the new phone was going to be the Incredible, and that unlike the Devour, BB did not have an agreement to sell the phone before anyone else. He did not know whether or not BB would get it after, or at the same time as corporate stores.

4. The manager also told me, with respect to upgrades, that BB can usually upgrade a line eligible for a 2 year upgrade, or a 1 year upgrade at the end of a 1 year contract, but cannot give the upgrade price to a customer that is eligible for an "early" or "annual" upgrade. He said that those phones have to be purchased from a corporate store to get the upgrade pricing.

As always, take it FWIW.

This info came to me - TOTALLY unsolicited- from one of the newer members of this forum. At this time, he has opted to remain anonymous, as he has undoubtedly seen people in here get shredded for less! What makes the information that you are about to read so significant, is that it was given to me nearly 2 weeks ago - back on 3/25, with recent updates in the conversation. Since then, I have shared this with a very select few of you in here to get some opinions on it and those I have spoken to seem to be very excited by the following conversation. And now, more stories are coming forth regarding the end of this month as a likely release date, so this news that I received some two weeks ago is looking to be EXTREMELY relevant now!

Thursday, March 25th:

SOURCE: Hey, I was wondering if I can give you some information to post in the forum. I work for Best Buy and received some information today that is pertinent to the Incredible. If you want, I can explain to you... Let me know.

ME: Sure, I'd appreciate that a lot! But why did you select me, may I ask?

SOURCE: I selected you, because throughout the past few weeks of me lurking here, and putting a few posts in, you seem to have had the most information. Not that the others don't have information, but you seem to genuinely care about finding out about this phone. I guess I feel I can relate to you more than some of the others on the forum. Anyhow, to the story. So, I work at BB, and I have been hounding my Verizon rep for weeks about this phone and the N1. Every time I spoke to her, nothing, except for today. When I got to work, she was there. I went over to her and gave her a play by play of my two days off this week (day 1 and 2 of CTIA). I explained how I was glued to the computer and my overall infatuation like the rest of this forum. We are very close... it isn't like other business partnerships. So, I tell her about my disappointments, and she blurts out, "you guys are getting it on the 25th." I say April? She says, "yes". I went on to ask about our buyers guides and if the phone would be in there. She said it will be like when the Droid came out, it won't show up in the buyers guide till the following month. She said she was told that we can start preselling them in early April. She didn't have an exact date on when presell starts. The 25th makes sense to me, since it is a Sunday, and our Ads start every Sunday. This gives our Company time to put it in the Ad and have it ready for print. She also told me her boss got to play with one, and he mentioned that he hadn't seen a phone this cool ever. A lot of times, I worry about reps and sales associates having information, but for her to be on the up and up for presales and all the other information, I am buying into the 25th of April theory. hope this helps. For all of our sakes, and sanity, I also hope what I have heard to be true. Like I said, I have no reason to not believe my rep. Also, I will be able to see inventory for our store and information around presales of the Incredible. As soon as I get information, I will hand it over to you.

ME: Thanks again!!!

Monday, April 5th:

SOURCE: Looks like someone posted a sku from internal best buy. people are speculating that it is a computer or something from verizon. Just to be clear, and computers with mobile broadband still have model numbers and skus from the manufacturer (gateway, hp, etc.) so this sku will not be a computer. The MSRP is $599 because that will be the retail price with no contract. I will check this particular sku tomorrow at work to see what I can find...but I wanted you to have this info on what the people are saying in the forum. Talk to you soon.

ME: Okay, sounds great! Thanks!!

Tuesday, April 6th:

SOURCE: I checked the sku today at work and it is an active sku in our system. That just means our store will carry it. It goes live on the 25th of April definitely. This ties into the same time my verizon rep said we were getting it. I also checked planograms and they change on the 25th of April and this sku will be on the new one. I don't know if it will be like the devour where we carry it first and then Verizon launches it later. I cannot confirm that. If it is like the Droid, we should see shipments about 5 days before the launch day.

ME: Amazing stuff! Well, I am prepared to take your information to the thread if you permit.

SOURCE: No problem, if the people of this forum are half as excited as I am for this phone, it will be fun. It is sad, but I work at the biggest electronics store in the world, and still act like a kid at Christmas with all these cool new gadgets. If you need anything else from me, let me know, and if I gather any new information, I will be sure to let you know. From what I am seeing on my end, it is all coming together for the 25th. I didn't want to wait that long, but I feel confident that the date is right and it gives me peace knowing when I can start playing with this great new toy.

ME: I cannot thank you enough! I'd be more than happy to give credit to you for all that you have divulged upon posting your information to the thread - just let me know!!

SOURCE: I prefer to remain back at this point, if you don't mind.

So there you have it. Believe what you will - at this point in my time here on this thread, I don't care who believes what I have to say and who doesn't. It doesn't matter to me anymore if some 3-post noob decides to attack my credibility. It just doesn't. I am extremely grateful to my source, whom I will be MORE than happy to give public credit to, should he desire. I have really enjoyed all of the excitement that this story has generated among those that I have shared this with over the past couple of weeks as well. I truly hope that we really do see this phone in OUR HANDS by the end of THIS month!! It definitely looks very promising now! :)

I was in Bellevue, WA today for work and getting some lunch at a sandwich shop when I started talking to this guy from HTC(he was wearing his badge) down the street! I knew they were in Bellevue but it's a pretty good sized area and really the part they are in seems more like Factoria to me. At any rate, we talked for a while about HTC because I have owned four HTC phones and absolutely love the physical builds of their phones. Then of course I had to ask about the Incredible. He wouldn't give me any specs other than it's Snapdragon(duh) and that it was blazingly fast and responsive. I asked why there was no release yet was there a problem on their end that he was aware of? He said that they are done with the phone as far as he knows and waiting on Verizon for the release.

I stopped by my local VZW Corporate store today (Cincinnati) began closing my accounts and paying my ETF's. My total bill was about $500 for 3 phones (2 Dares and 1 LG Chocolate Touch), and my netbook. My NE2 date was April 3 but my actual contract date is August. The CSR repeatedly tried to get me to upgrade to the Droid, saying he can "guarantee" the 2.1 upgrade this week for it. I went off on the Droid and how if they really wanted to keep me as a customer they would release the N1, since it was promised in January to be released in spring or AT LEAST give a release date for the Incredible. The regional sales manager and store manager were at the counter talking and the CSR spoke with them. After a couple of min my CSR was gone but the regional sales manager came to talk to me. She had a hand held "computer" and pulled up my account. She asked my why I wanted to cancel my accounts. I explained the same thing to her that I'd said to the CSR.

She said that the N1 is NOT their phone and that it is up to Google to make it work on their network. The delay in that phone is all on Google. The ONLY part they play is when Google says it's ready they give it to testers around the country to try it. If it is not good enough to meet their "quality standards" then they kick it back and say fix it. I mentioned that T-Mobile has it and now it's available for AT&T. She said that T-Mobile got it to jump into the Android market and let their customers suffer with it as the bugs were worked out and that VZW doesn't work like that. She said she can't offer ANY info as to when it will be ready.

I asked about the Incredible then saying it is THEIR phone and asked when she thought it would be released. She said by the end of the month. I said that is what was said about the phone in March at CTIA. She said VZW NEVER gave that date. I said VZW hasn't even "officially" acknowledged the phone. She said that with the advent of Twitter, Message Boards, etc. the company has had to become very tight lipped about new products, and they STILL get out. She asked me to wait until May 1st to cancel my accounts. I said no concrete date? She said I should know something FOR SURE by April 29th. I questioned this time line and said when the Droid was announced VZW marketed the CRAP out of the phone for 3 weeks prior to release. She said that is b/c it was their FIRST Android phone and they wanted to pump it up. She said that we will begin to see promos for the phone very soon. I asked how she was so confident. She said that there are testers in her region that had to have the phone back last week. She said that she's worked for the company for years and that when the phones are sent back ALWAYS without exception the phones are released within 2 weeks.

I did not cancel my accounts. I told her that I'd wait until May 1st. If not, here I come Sprint.

Take it for what it's worth, anyone interested in the validity of this info PM me and I will give you more info about the Regional Sales Manager.

So I just got done meeting with some people from Verizon. The district guy said he was willing to openly speak about the Incredible, and said it will be out before the Nexus One. Gave it a 60-day time frame, saying he was giving a late time frame so as to not piss anyone off if the device didn't show up when he said. Said they've had testing devices for about two weeks, and that it did fail in testing. They now need to test the revision build to make sure everything is OK. He said he has used the device and it's extremely smooth and fast. His boss uses one as his primary device and the battery has been lasting all day. He said the previous build that failed testing seemed very stable and usable, so he doubted more revisions would be needed. He said late April is very feasible.

He did confirm that the device is in Cellebrite, but doubted that the warehouse actually had the number of devices rumored since they're still testing. He did say it has 8GB internal memory, and supports of to 32GB via microSD for a total of 40GB storage. The processor is the 1GHz Snapdragon.

On a related note, he said that Android 2.1 for the Eris is in testing and should be out in less than 45 days.

My boyfriend is on this thread and has been posting for awhile.. He found out some information today, but doesn't want to post it under his "login" for fear that it will get back to him somehow.

His company met with a corporate verizon rep last week to discuss new services and roadmaps for the future concerning their relationship and business They do this at least once a year. He asked the rep if he/she had heard about the incredible and even used the adr6300 sku number that had been discovered on here.. He was hounding the rep for a release date, since he pretty much knows everything else already.

The rep said that he/she hadn't heard of the Incredible, but that he/she would check with someone (at corporate) who for sure could get her some information about it. The rep said he/she would get with us as soon as they found something else out.

Well fast forward to a few hours ago, where the rep got back in touch with him. They said that the "tentative" release date will be on "April 29th", and that that information was extremely confidential..

So take that for what it's worth...

Sounds like it will be any day now with the new Training info coming out in the last few hours..

Thanks Guys and Gals,

Happy Incredible day to ya'll

Last I heard, they were going to be testing one final software load. When and how long I don't know.

POSTER: NKT 04/06/10(in response to what the build of the Testing Device his contact had was)
They are release key loads. I checked that the first time I got hands on.

POSTER: APKhaos
04/06/10(an explanation to NKT’s findings)
Android builds during development and testing have a couple of characteristics that are simply short cuts to avoid the more rigorous release process. The Android development environment creates dummy data for things like the digital signature of the developer, and may allow for overhead such as the debug processes to be loaded and run in a pre-release build.

A formal release key build is digitally signed with the vendor's key, and ready for distribution. Its ready for distribution in all respects. This tells us that testing is OVER!

Talked to my insider and got the following info.

First off
1. Sorry no additional spec detail.
2. He received his info from his insider at his regional distro. and not forums (important). He even accidentally mentioned his name. Don't ask, sorry.
3. Once again like last time it started out with several employee's and then ended up just He and I. He could tell me because he hadn't gotten his info from official Verizon channels but through contacts he's close with. See Flame suit on item 4.

Flame Suit on:
1.He reconfirmed his original quote to me of 70,000 units on order but added that it was regional.
2.He said that it was in what he called "Friendly testing" which is the last step before release.
3.There is no question that it exists!!!
4.Any and all details (he specifically mentioned the Cellebrite & insider pages) is intentionally leaked by Verizon. Not intentionally announced but put conveniently where it can leak out to those who are looking (us).
5.He mentioned that it could even release this week because the BOGO went off last week and was scheduled for another one in two weeks. But . . . not to hold my breath. But that the release was imminent.
* * * He's not been wrong so far with me. You can go back and read all my posts but everything he's told me has been spot on. * * *

512MB RAM/512MB ROM
802.11 b/g/n (N!! Not sure if that's wrong or not, but that's what it said)
"Next Generation Sense UI"
3.5mm headphone jack

Ok an Update for you guys here.....first the Incredable will be released this month. Testers are to get thier devices this week at somepoint. As long as everythiing is ok. we'll see the release..
on the N1.....still look for June and look for the $200 price point. Though sadly it will still only available online.........hope this helps This was just posted by an administrator on the nexus ones forums. TIFWIW: Official Nexus One VERIZON thread! - Page 280 - Nexus One Forum - Google Phone Forum

POSTER: pewpewbangbang 04/05/10
Alright, heres even more info, facts, and clarification.

The test device for the HTC Incredible is going to the VZW Council. Apparently, phones get sent to them for testing BEFORE!!! release. The VZW council should be getting them anytime this week and release will be very very very soon after.

Interesting note, the VZW iPhone is looking to come sometime in the SUMMER, much earlier than the expected end of the year december date.

This is all from an Admin who has never failed and gets these memo's etc...about the devices before any of us and before they are released.

He said from a message two months ago that VZW wanted to sell the Nexus One in-store but google said no. Then the HTC Incredible came along and VZW went with that phone instead so they could sell it in-store.

Anyhows, looks like confirmation that the phone is coming this month. He said he will give me a date when he gets more info but all he knows is that final test devices are being given to VZW council sometime this week and the N1 is coming in June.

i have been reading the forums for the last 3 weeks on a daily basis and im sure like everyone here i am very anxious to get my hands on this phone. i read earlier that someone had a friend that was a best buy mobile manager and that she had found in the system a new phone for verizon arriving at the end of the month. i did some digging and found that indeed a new phone will be available at best buy on the 29 for verizon. i also found that the in stock date is going to be on the 25. In the inventory system the phone does not have a model or description but i dont know of any other new phone that is suppose to launch this month. This coincides with a lot of information from sources that have posted a date in the end of april. Now this could very well not be a solid release date since release dates can be pushed back but typically what has happened in the past with verizon and best buy launching phones is that verizon usually gets them a week before best buy mobile is able to sell them. i know this still doesnt give a concrete release date but at least we know best buy mobile will hopefully carry the phone at the end of the month. here is a snapshot:

here is the second page in the inventory showing more information about the phone. if you read the bottom it shows a date of 04/25 as an in stock date which is what i originally posted. Once again this leads me to believe that its a smart phone because A. its not a gateway netbook because it would have gateway in the description and details B the droid msrpd for 500 if you bought the phone flat out and C. is not a samsung phone or the "vaygus" phone because there are other phones in the system that have the bbyld description with other numbers and the msrp is from 200 to 350. Take this info for whatever it is. it may more may not be the incredible the reason i posted the two images is because like many of you i just want to hear a launch date. Ill let you guys decide if this is pertinent information or not. This is going to be the last piece of information i will disclose,
FYI this is not an "edited" screen shot because i know someone called out that i would later show an "edited" image after the fact that i posted the original one.:

I would not necessarily say its the "most reliable"
There just has been the most obvious pointers to that particular day.

If your looking for the earliest possible? probably next monday. But thats not exactly realistic. However, almost every piece of information we have puts the release date to be some time this month.

Excellent post, BlackOut. Great summary, great info.

There actually ARE quite a few of us that tire of the chatty Kathy, sports-talk, etc., posts, that contribute absolutely freakin nothing to the cause.

Uhh, of course, THIS post, is not one of those ...:D

well no matter what the replies to this thread build to, i promise to do my best to keep the FIRST post continuously updated :)

Thanks for the summary post it's very helpful.

I had stopped by a Verizon store today explaining I want to switch from AT&T, but waiting for a Nexus One phone. Also explained my home button on the iphone is becoming more and more unresponsive so Im hoping to switch sooner than later from AT&T. The person mentioned they didnt know anything about when the Nexus One would be out but that one like it would be available soon. She said she had not received any training yet on it, so she doesnt know anything about it. She said generally from when they get trained a phone comes out in 2-4 weeks or more. So I said "so basically Im looking at 2-4 weeks or so?" and she said "at least". Given I had mention I dont want a physical keyboard and that the Eris wouldnt work for me, the person knew they werent getting a sale from me, so there's not much reason to over estimate the time frame really.

Anyway wanted to say thanks and since I was already posting that, there would be no harm in mentioning this too. Hopefully the estimates are true about this month and my home button will hold out that long.
