Notifications

I know with text messages you can get a pop up box to notify you of incoming texts and reply to them.

I don't know if your device offers it in the default app, but you can check by going into the default messaging app. Once in there go to the settings > Quick Message & Reply > you can choose the Show QuickMessage option and a pop up will come up on your homescreen once you receive a text.

Otherwise you could try a third party messaging app like Handcent

Thanks digital controller, but I wasn't referencing messaging. I've got that popup working.
I'm talking about the notifications you get from say, GMail, Yahoo mail, G+, app updates etc. As it is now, there's just a quick scroll across the top of the screen for those that get missed if you're not looking right at the screen when it happens

There is no notification function like you describe on this phone. However, there are a couple of apps that will do what you want, and more. NotifierPro Plus, or iPhoneNotifications - both by the same developer - will add back a full pallet of notification options for jst about every app you are running.

I'm a purchaser, not a developer, of these. Good luck....
