Nexus 10 - Graphics jerky?

Hi all,

I have a smasung galaxy s2 which I really like.

I recently bought a Nexus 10 and was very surprised to find that the graphics and general performance seem better on my galaxy phone.

For example the game stick tennis. It loads quicker on the phone and the menu selections / responses are faster / crisper on the phone.

The ball travelling across the court on my phone is super smooth and lovely and on the nexus 10 is noticably jerky with seemingly lower refresh rate.

Can this be right? - seems a bit disappointing to me :(

Thanks.

I have to take back what I said about Chrome. I just updated it and they've done a great job getting it optimized. It is much smoother now.

BTW .. I just tried a game called Fun Run from the play store. I had no lag at all. I played much lately, but I remember The Bard's Tale being smooth also. You might try getting Android Assistant from the play store. In the tools, use the option to clear caches and see is that helps.

Hi - thanks for the reply. On both the phone and N10 I am playing the stick tennis game as a downloaded app.
Keep in mind the resolution on the nexus 10 is much higher than your phone. The graphics in this should handle the job though. But all else equal, it would require more graphics power to run on the Nexus 10.

Now I've never seen any lag or jerkyness. Do you see this on other games or just this one. The developer may need to do some updates.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yea maybe the huge resolution of the n10 is to blame. Atmazzz you have the same devices as me. Perhaps you could download stick tennis (free) and see if you see the same.

Thanks.

Sorry, I missed this post yesterday. I'll try Stick Tennis today.

You might also try in developer options, change window animation scale to .5, change transition animation scale to .5, and try checking the box for force GPU rendering.
