I've looked through the threads on this, and apparently everyone has insurance on their phones. Dumb of me I guess, but I don't have it. Seems like it should be a simple fix to find a replacement glass/frontplate.

Anyone have any ideas about where I can find one?

Thanks for any advice...

Sorry to hear that. I feel for you, don't have insurance either.

You can look around and call a few places. I have not run across a site that flat out sells parts, but I am sure someone can source them. You may be able to find a dead one on ebay and just switch guts.

Try contacting a few of these places and see what they can do.

Ok folks... Hipshot to the Rescue.. :D

I was in the same boat... no ins. Owned my Eris 8 days... Broke the glass! (Aren't we dummies? :( ) And BB was giving me grief. The repair shops in the area wanted $130 to fix it. And new screens are darn near impossible to find... darn near that is... ;)

Well I found some! OEM Screens! They were in mainland China where they are manufactured.. Oh.. I hadda wire the money ahead of time.. .(I know.. BIG BIG Risk!) But.. .after some dialog with these folks, I decided to take the chance.

It paid off! I got them! (Did I say them?) :D I believe I DID! I figured...I'm not alone here.. and If I'm lucky enough to pull this off, why not let a few others benefit too?

Well wouldn't ya know it? The same day I got them.. .BB came thru to help me! (Murphy's law) So.. Here I sit with spare screens looking for a good home!

I was going to Ebay them.. but.. frankly I'm not looking to make any money here.. I just want to get my money back and help a few folks on this forum. So.. here goes..

The first 3 people to pm me are the winners! $80 Bucks shipped & insured! Paypal accepted :p

Now I don't claim to know how to put these in but I understand its relatively easy. And their are you tube videos out there to show you how. I understand once you got it apart, the trick is to heat the glass with a hair dryer to soften the glue to remove and you will be in business. And you can replace while the glue is still soft. Easy!

Now.. we both know its glass. And they made it from china without a break. And I'll take even MORE care to make sure they get to you safe. However its just too easy too cheat the system here so I will be sure to insure these packages just in case. If you claim they are broke, You deal with the fedex claim. Fair enough? ;)

So.. get em while they last!

I didn't have insurance on my phone either. I accidentally sat on it while it was in my back pocket and cracked the screen. I took the broken phone to a local verizon store and they were able to give me a new one for only $50.00. You can learn more about what happened at my thread...

My old Voyager got a "pressure crack" and I was uninsured. The Verizon tech lady offered me the $50 replacement deal and I opted to just wait a month for an upgrade. I would beg for this from your nearest store because it will be the easiest and most cost-effective route.

Square Trade is good option but it does not cover last or stolen phones. I have had 2 stolen in the last 4 years.

That sucks...if someone steals my phone they are either going to have to get it off my hip or sneak into my house and take it off the nightstand without waking me. (Otherwise, they will be painted with a green laser and a warning to run their ass off lest the 40 caliber hollow tips catch them on the way out.
