A. You'll have to go into lte2 and install the recovery, when a pop up says success! you than click Reboot Recovery.

B. Wait for it to show the LG logo, if it doesn't show the recovery menu (stays on the LG logo) just press your volume

1. Then using your volume button to scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" press the power button to select that, scroll down to yes and press the power button let it do its thing.

2. You'll than tap your back button at the bottom of your phone to get back to the main menu.

3. Scroll to "wipe cache partition" and select it. and click yes let it do its thing. than go back to main menu.

4. You'll than go to advanced and select that, go to wipe "dalvik cache" and select that, once that finishes go back to main menu with your back button.

C. You'll want to tap the home button at the bottom to switch to external sd card.

5. Than go to "install zip from sd card", select choose "zip from sd card", find where you put the ROM zip file and select it. then select yes and let it install. once it finishes go back to main menu and click "reboot system now". You might have to select it two times. Sometimes the first time the screen will flash but not reboot. so you Just selected it a second time.

Now remember the first boot up will take about 2 mins or so. It will look like its hung up on the metro pcs screen but its not. Just let it do its thing.

I hope this all helps you. good luck bro

Thank you, Thank you,...... Worked Beautifully!!
Trying to find my way around this Nova launcher and I'll get there eventually. A big problem I'm having is that Titanium Backup will not install. Used file manager and Root Explorer and even downloaded it from the Playstore but it does not install, goes through the motion of installing and says it is installed but I can't locate it in my apps. I reinstalled Set CPU and Root Explorer and Lookout with no problem.

Any Idea why I can't install Titanium Backup?
Would make reconfiguring my apps and settings much easier.

That's strange, it installs fine for me which is why I recommended it in the OP.

Click on menu button / Manage apps / under downloaded check if titanium shows up.

Once again, Thank You!.. It seems I only installed the Pro Key and not the app itself

One more question though...When I open Titanium Pro I'm getting a "Warning This device's Android ID has changed" Do I ignore or restore the previous ID? I told it to ask me later.

When running TB Do I restore (batch) missing apps with data?

I'd like to donate a little dough for all your hard work and your time.. please let me know how.

Thanks...Tom

That warning happens when you restore system settings from the old rom to the new one.
It is recommended to only restore apps, call log, and messages to avoid any bugs.
I would ignore restoring the previous id.

You can go to restore batch and then it will give you the option to pick weather you would like to restore all or pick which apps. No need to restore system apps like playstore or gmail.

Thanks
That is quite a very nice gesture of you offering to donate and I really appreciate it, but don't worry about it... I do this as a hobby which I enjoy. Clicking the thanks button on the rom post is good enough for me. lol

Hi, first of all thank you so much for taking the time to create this ROM and thanks to all the testers. :) I saw the screen shots and I like the Jellybean look as well as the Stock ICS look, rather than the Optimus version of ICS that is on the Spirit, so I'm thinking about possibly rooting my Spirit. I have a couple questions about this Icy Spirit ROM v2.0 that I hope you or someone may be able to answer sometime:

1. Is it an ICS-based ROM or a Jellybean-based ROM? I see that wallpaper and Keyboard are from Jellybean, but just wondering if the entire OS is still Android 4.0 ICS? My hope is to (at least someday) find a Jellybean ROM for the Spirit. I know they take a lot of time to create. I'm eager to try out your Ice Spirit v2.0 though.

2. Also, this may be off the topic, but I tried using GoSMS Pro as my messaging app but it doesn't seem to send/receive properly. I heard that it has something to do with Metro PCS and that there's been consistent issues with the messaging if someone uses GoSMS with MetroPCS. So I"m just wondering if you've heard anything about that before or if there's any settings I could adjust anywhere to make it send/receive sms and mms. I am new to MetroPCS and didn't have any issues with GoSMS when I was with Virgin Mobile. Sorry if I shouldn't have posted this particular question here, but just thought I'd ask. Thanks. :)

1. Yes... The rom is based off stock firmware 4.0.4 with the exception of the wallpaper, keyboard, and google now which are from JB.

2. Maybe someone can chime in on gosms since I use the stock and don't know anything about gosms.

Progress Update...

So the new rom I'm working on is coming along well. I'm about 80% done.

Here's the inverted mms I did for it...
Open your mms then look at this one, big difference. lol :D

LoL. I meant the theme by itself. Not having to install a whole ROM. LoL :D
I'm not making a theme. I've literally edited a couple hundred lines of xml code to get the new rom to where it's at and still got a lot more to go. So definitely wont be a theme.

To. GT,

Okay, I finally gave up on my rom which I was making it from scratch (nandroid backup -> kitchen -> UOT), it gives me keyboard error and I don't know where to restart.

Can I just use your ROM as base and work on it?

Why do I waste time when we have nice working Icy Spirit :)

Sure, You can use the Icy rom as base as long as you mention in your post. My next rom will be my main baby so that one will be off limits. ;)
