Arrgh! Just read that 32gb version will be out tomorrow for AT&T. Can I return my 16GB on 15th day??

Anybody with experience as far as AT&T taking exchanges right after 14 days??

Here's my situation: I physically got my phone on Thurs April 25th from the AT&T store. I just read that the 32GB version will be out tomorrow, Fri. 10th...exactly 15 days after I got the 16GB. I just checked the receipt and it looks like they don't have to give refunds, etc. after 14 days.

I've been really careful about what I install, but I could REALLY use the extra room for bigger games/apps. I honestly didn't know that I couldn't install apps to my sd card, (which is just silly, by the way....coming from an Evo and then an Evo 3D, it never even occurred to me that an Android phone would lack that ability).

Any helpful input appreciated, thanks!

Not so sure that AT&T will allow as they know there are many 16gb S4 owners wanting to exchange. That is why they wait a while before introducing Unless you really got a need buy at 64gb micro ad and save the money!

Unfortunately, SD card storage expansion does nothing for the need to store and run apps internally to the S4's memory. I'm curious if the GN2 also has under 9 GB left after JB and bloatware are loaded? I've never seen anything other than 16GB GN2 models being sold in my area.

It all depends on your current usage and how much app space you use currently. Personally I was somewhat worried but after reading several posts I decided last night to bite the bullet and get the 16GB GS4. After loading it up with just about all the apps and games from my old device (granted I don't make much use of cloud apps or a lot of games) I still have 8.6GB of open space left (only using up not even 1GB), which I think I'll personally have a hard time using up.

So it all depends on how much you use/need currently. If you don't see your usage habits drastically changing and you have plenty of space now (assuming you have 9GB or less of space available for apps on your current device) then you should be fine with 16GB. If you are tight for space as it is, or you see your usage habits changing suddenly, maybe you want to opt for the 32GB version. As long as you are within the 15 days I believe you can return, especially since you would essentially be doing an exchange and not a true return.

It may be a moot point. Hard to tell. I came to the GS4 from a Galaxy Proclaim and didn't have near the power the GS4 does. So my usage (with LTE) may go a different route than my old phone/carrier experience.

I'm down to 8.3Gb internal storage and have barely begun to use this thing.

The 32 gig model is 50 bucks more than the 16 gig model. It's a fair amount for the extra storage built in the phone imo. I got my 32 model yesterday as an exchange for the 16 gig model. Just haven't comfort in know the extra storage is there. I had to remember that this phone will most likely have to serve me for 2 years.

Also there's a $35 restocking fee. .. but yeah I was happy to pay another $85 total for the extra storage.

Lessons learned for the future: Find out how much USABLE storage space there will be, AND whether or not you can move apps to the external storage.

That's why I try to buy my phones from Best Buy. NO restocking fee. Sprint and VZW corporate stores also charge a restocking fee.
