battery cover wont snap on

I had a couple replacement phones due to different issues. But now the battery cover does not snap around the top and side area of the phone. It seals good around the usb and the side around the volume keys. Anyway, when I called verizon, and Samsung they both said it would be my responsibility to buy anther door. It doesn't really bother me much to pay for one, but the only reason the door is broken now is because I had to take it off for the replacements, and to do a factory reset after the 4.3 update. Youd think they would replace it.

Could it be that your battery is swollen and wont allow the cover to snap on?
I ask because there were some issues with defective batteries on the S4.
Have you tried putting the cover on without the battery installed? If you can get the cover to snap on without the battery installed then ask for a replacement battery.

Ditto this. Take out your battery and put in on a flat surface. See if it spins easily indicating a swollen battery. If so, have the battery replaced under warranty.

I've had my rear cover off several times and it seems pretty robust to me.

Verizon thought that might be the cause of the issue and sent me a replacement battery, but still had the problem. I went into the Verizon store and they confirmed it is the cover that is the issue. I ended up having to pay for a new one, but and ended up having to get the wireless charging cover for 39.99 because they said they do not sell the regular ones at the store

I cannot imagine what you have been doing with it. I must have taken my cover off 50 times easily (I carry spare batteries and swap them round frequently) and it's as good as the day I got it.

I just got back from a different Verizon store. It turns out it is not the battery cover, but the phone itself. The areas where the door snaps into are defective on the replacement phone they sent me. They took a new phone fresh out of the box, and tried my original cover and it snapped right on. They switched the device out for me. I was very shocked that they gave me a brand new device.

I guess the phone they sent me as a replacement did not even have the areas where the door was supposed to snap into. I was just floored when they said I could have a brand new phone as a replacement. The salesman at the store was great, he said it was bad enough that I needed a replacement to begin with, and to top it off to get one hat was defected that way and that I deserved a new phone not a refurb.
